The days of bra-burning and women wanting to have an equal voice in government are gone. Now, the focus has shifted and the Left\u2019s goal is not to offend anyone who&nbsp;<em>identifies&nbsp;<\/em>as a woman.<\/p>\n<p>In this quest to \u201cinclude\u201d transgender people, particularly those who transitioned from men to women, the Left effectively disposes of women. The challenges women face, like having periods and giving birth, are no longer reserved to <em>just <\/em>women. We\u2019re forced out of the picture \u2014 and the discussion \u2014 when we\u2019re told that we\u2019re not the only ones who can menstruate or have children (even though that <em>is&nbsp;<\/em>the case).<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/williamsinstitute.law.ucla.edu\/publications\/trans-adults-united-states\/\">UCLA School of Law Williams Institute<\/a>, \u201c0.6% of U.S. adults identify as transgender.\u201d Even though less than 1% of the population falls into the transgender category, the Left is willing to alienate women, who make up roughly half of the population. That\u2019s astonishing.<\/p>\n<p>The Left continually tells women that our feelings and struggles don\u2019t matter when they use phrases such as \u201cbirthing people,\u201d like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/pro-choice-democrat-calls-to-protect-black-babies-refers-to-women-as-birthing-people\">Congresswoman Cori Bush (D-MO)<\/a> did on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery day, Black birthing people and our babies die because our doctors don\u2019t believe our pain. My children almost became a statistic. I almost became a statistic,\u201d Bush tweeted, along with a video of her testimony in front of the House Oversight Committee. \u201cHear us. Believe us. Because for so long, nobody has.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>NARAL Pro-Choice America retweeted Bush\u2019s video, defending her decision to use \u201cgender neutral language.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we talk about birthing people, we\u2019re being inclusive. It\u2019s that simple,\u201d the pro-abortion group tweeted. \u201cWe use gender neutral language when talking about pregnancy, because it\u2019s not just cis-gender women that can get pregnant and give birth. Reproductive freedom is for *every* body.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"12.459546925566\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">When we talk about birthing people, we&#8217;re being inclusive. It\u2019s&nbsp;<em>the truth.&nbsp;<\/em>Biological men&nbsp;<em>cannot&nbsp;<\/em>do those things. That. Is. A. <em>Fact.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>What separates men and women isn\u2019t something to look down upon, but rather something to celebrate. Women have the ability to bring a precious life into this world. When the Left claims anyone can do that, it diminishes the truly remarkable nature of being a woman.<\/p>\n<p>When the Left claims that anyone can be a woman simply because they feel like it, they dismiss the struggles of women like me, who suffer from fertility-related illnesses. They minimize the physical, mental, and emotional toll those diseases have and the struggle some couples go through to bring a child into the world.<\/p>\n<p>But the need to downplay women\u2019s role in society is just the Left\u2019s latest effort to put transgender men and women over natural-born women.
