UNC Hires \u20181619 Project\u2019 Creator As Race And Investigative Journalism Professor \u2013 <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecollegefix.com\/unc-hires-1619-project-creator-as-race-and-investigative-journalism-professor\/\"><b>The College Fix<\/b><\/a><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span>The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill announced that it hired Nikole Hannah-Jones \u2014 the author of the controversial New York Times \u201c1619 Project\u201d \u2014 to become a race and investigative journalism professor. Hannah-Jones won a Pulitzer Prize for the \u201c1619 Project,\u201d though historians condemned the writings, forcing the New York Times to issue corrections over historical inaccuracies.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>9. Marquette Theology Class: Analyze How Systemic Racism \u2018Benefits White People\u2019 From \u2018Theological Lens\u2019 \u2013 <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yaf.org\/news\/marquette-theology-class-analyze-how-systemic-racism-benefits-white-people-from-theological-lens\/\"><b>Young America\u2019s Foundation<\/b><\/a><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span>A Marquette University theology class asked students to analyze the \u201cstructural features of race and racism in the US\u201d\u00a0 through the \u201ctheological lens.\u201d One of the stated objectives of the course is to \u201capply the notions of structural sin and justice as a structural virtue to identify concrete ways to challenge structural forms of racism in the United States.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>8. Nonprofit \u2018Gender Nation\u2019 Donates Thousands Of \u2018Inclusive\u2019 Books To Elementary Schools In San Diego \u2013 <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/nonprofit-gender-nation-donates-thousands-of-inclusive-books-to-elementary-schools-in-san-diego\"><b>The Daily Wire<\/b><\/a><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span>The superintendent of the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) sent an email to parents announcing that the nonprofit Gender Nation would donate 2,000 \u201cage-appropriate LGBTQ+\u00a0 inclusive\u201d books to the district. As part of its \u201cmission to empower students through inclusive stories,\u201d SDUSD school \u201cwill now have access to more literature specifically geared towards LGBTQ+ students.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>7. UNC Hosts Black-Only Healing Space, \u2018Racial Trauma Yoga\u2019 Following Chauvin Verdict \u2013 <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yaf.org\/news\/unc-hosts-black-only-healing-space-racial-trauma-yoga-following-chauvin-verdict\/\"><b>Young America\u2019s Foundation<\/b><\/a><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span>The University of North Carolina-Asheville hosted a \u201cBlack and African American Healing Space\u201d as well as a \u201cracial trauma yoga\u201d session following the verdict of the Derek Chauvin case in Minneapolis. The school promoted two \u201chealing spaces\u201d for students, one for \u201cBlack and African Americans,\u201d and the other for \u201cTrans, Non-Binary, and Gender Non-Conforming.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>6. Parents Revolt After Texas\u2019s No. 1 District Tries To Institutionalize Racism \u2013 <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/04\/27\/parents-revolt-after-texass-no-1-school-district-tries-to-institutionalize-racism\/\"><b>The Federalist\u00a0<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n<p><span>Several school board members at Carroll Independent School District in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas, were arrested after parents found out what their schools have been teaching children in the name of \u201cracial justice.\u201d The race-based teaching came from the district\u2019s \u201cCultural Competence Action Plan,\u201d which is rooted in critical race theory.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>5. Oregon Track Coach Blasts Mask Rule After Runner Collapses From \u2018Complete Oxygen Debt\u2019 \u2013 <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecollegefix.com\/oregon-track-coach-blasts-mask-rule-after-runner-collapses-from-complete-oxygen-debt\/\"><b>The College Fix<\/b><\/a><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span>A high school distance runner in Oregon passed out on the track from what her coach described as \u201ccomplete oxygen debt\u201d from wearing a mask while running. Coach Dave Turnbull ripped the state\u2019s face mask mandate for outdoor competitive distance runners. In an interview, Turnbull said the state\u2019s health code is \u201cnot reasonable\u201d and challenged bureaucrats to run with a mask on.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>4. New \u2018G\u2019 Grading Policy Will Allow University of Pittsburgh Professors To Pass Students Who Don\u2019t Complete Coursework By End Of Semester \u2013 <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.campusreform.org\/article?id=17375\"><b>Campus Reform<\/b><\/a><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span>The University of Pittsburgh reconfigured its grading policy to allow students to receive a passing grade for incomplete or missing assignments. Professors will now be able to give students a passing \u201cG\u201d grade, which used to be temporary placeholders for incomplete or missing assignments. Now, professors can alter the \u201cG\u201d grading system and give students a letter grade for an assignment that was never turned in.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>3. Tulane University To Host Hunter Biden As Guest Speaker For Class On \u2018Media Polarization\u2019 \u2013 <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/tulane-university-to-host-hunter-biden-as-guest-speaker-for-class-on-media-polarization\"><b>The Daily Wire<\/b><\/a><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span>Tulane University will host Hunter Biden as a guest speaker for a class focused on media polarization and the impacts of media on public policy. According to a course description, Tulane will offer a fall semester class titled, \u201cMedia Polarization and Public Policy Impacts.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>2. School District Tells Principals To Create Fake Curriculum To Send Parents After Complaints Of Indoctrination \u2013 <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/rockwood-schools-fake-curriculum-parents-indoctrination\"><b>The Daily Wire<\/b><\/a><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span>An official in Rockwood School District, Missouri, instructed teachers to create two sets of curriculum: a false one to share with parents, and a real set of curriculum, focused on topics like activism and privilege. The official wrote to all middle and high school principals that parents had repeatedly complained that the district was \u201cpushing an agenda.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>1. WATCH: Professor Berates Student For Calling Police \u2018Heroes\u2019 \u2013 <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/watch-professor-berates-student-for-calling-police-heroes\"><b>The Daily Wire<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n<p><span>A professor at Cypress College in Southern California berated a student during a Zoom class for calling the police \u201cheroes.\u201d The professor insisted that shows such as \u201cPaw Patrol\u201d are not acceptable for children because they promote positive images of police to children.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Got tips?
