Version: 4.0.47--><div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/fb_image-4257.jpeg?w=1200&#038;h=800&#038;ixlib=react-9.0.3\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"  style=\"display:none\"><\/div>\n<p><span>A Virginia public school district\u2019s equity lead sent out a graphic claiming that Christians are privileged and women, children, and people over the age of 50 experience \u201coppression.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Lottie Spurlock, the equity director for Loudoun County Public School (LCPS) district \u2014 one of the most affluent school districts in the nation \u2014 passed out a graphic that used immutable characteristics to divide people into two groups \u2014 oppressed and privileged.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>According to LCPS, the following groups experience \u201cprivilege\u201d:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Men<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>White People<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Christians<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Heterosexual<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>20-50 Year Olds<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>U.S. Born<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Owning\/Middle- or High-Income Background<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Currently Able-Bodied<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>College Educated or Parents College Educated<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Not Adopted or Foster Child<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>English as a Primary Language<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>\u201cAverage\u201d or \u201cThin\u201d (referencing weight)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Lighter Complexioned People of the Same Race\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>The graphic claims that the following groups experience \u201coppression\u201d:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Women<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Children<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>People of Color<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Non-Christians<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Lesbian\/Gay\/Bisexual\/Queer<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Gender Non-conforming<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>50 Years and Older<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Immigrant<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Working Class\/Lower Income Background<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Disabled<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Not College Educated or Parents Not College Educated<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Single Parent or Raised by a Single Parent<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Adopted or Foster Child<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>English as a Second Language<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>\u201cOverweight\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Darker Complexioned People of the Same Race\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>Ian Prior, the executive director of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fightforschools.com\/\"><span>Fightforschools.com<\/span><\/a><span>, told The Daily Wire that he believes this presentation is an attack on people\u2019s religious beliefs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cLoudoun County Public Schools\u2019 state-sanctioned racism and bigotry seemingly knows no bounds,\u201d Prior said. \u201cNot only are senior staff forcing teachers and students to see everyone as part of an identity group instead of individuals, but now they are attacking peoples religious beliefs.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Following the resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement, school districts across the nation caved to activists and began implementing \u201cDiversity, Equity, and Inclusion\u201d (DEI) training. LCPS has taken \u201cDEI\u201d a step further and called its approach to teaching, \u201cDEIJA,\u201d which stands for \u201cDiversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice, and Anti-racist work.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The push for \u201cDEIJA\u201d at LCPS is being spearheaded by Spurlock. In a recent training, Spurlock encouraged administrators to use the terms \u201cBlack and Brown\u201d people or \u201cBIPOC\u201d instead of the term \u201cminority.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The training also listed the \u201c15 characteristics of white supremacy culture,\u201d which includes traits such as \u201cperfectionism, individualism, objectivity,\u201d and believing that there is \u201conly one right way.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The district\u2019s equity department has presented controversial training to elementary teachers as well. Recently, an elementary school\u2019s equity lead claimed that \u201cLatinx\u201d students and families may be facing outsized hardships in comparison to other racial groups.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Daily Wire <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/elementary-school-equity-presentation-insinuates-hispanic-students-struggle-in-education-system-because-they-face-deportation-threats\"><span>reported<\/span><\/a><span>:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"22\">\n<p><i><span>The presentation listed immigration, deportation threats, language barriers, discrimination, access to services, employment difficulties, family responsibilities, health concerns, and family economics as barriers to \u201cLatinx\u201d families.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Listed under the category \u201cBarriers to success\u201d for Hispanic students, the presentation claimed that \u201cLatinx\u201d families struggle to communicate with the school because of work demands, lack of access to technology, and lack of understanding of parental engagement in education.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>LCPS is planning to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/loudoun-spending-6-million-equity-fy22.amp\"><span>allocate<\/span><\/a><span> over $6 million in \u201cequity\u201d and \u201cequity training\u201d for the 2022 fiscal year budget.
