Tim Scott (R-SC) ripped progressive critics of his Wednesday night rebuttal to President Joe Biden\u2019s speech to Congress.<\/p>\n<p>Scott, who is black, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/uncle-tim-trends-on-twitter-after-tim-scotts-rebuttal-to-bidens-sotu-address\">trended<\/a> on Twitter Wednesday night and Thursday morning under the moniker \u201cUncle Tim,\u201d a slur suggesting a black man is being overly submissive to white masters. The GOP lawmaker responded to the slur on Fox News on Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is stunning in 2021 that those who speak about ending discrimination want to end it by more discrimination,\u201d Scott <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/29\/senator-tim-scott-uncle-tim-racism-from-left\/\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLook at the COVID package. The COVID package itself discriminated against white farmers,\u201d he continued. \u201cWe had the Pickford settlements in the early 90s so that black farmers would be treated fairly by the federal government, now we are going to reverse that and discriminate against white farmers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDid we not learn the lesson the first time around? I\u2019ll just tell you that it has been an amazing morning with so many good people calling. But the Left, they have doubled down. They are not going to attack my policies, but they are literally attacking the color of my skin. You cannot step out of your lane according to the liberal elite Left,\u201d Scott said.<\/p>\n<p>In one example of the attacks on Scott since his speech, \u201cThe View\u201d co-host <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/vile-sunny-hostin-tim-scott-chosen-because-he-was-black\">Sunny Hostin<\/a> claimed that Scott was picked to deliver the GOP rebuttal to Biden because he is black.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy was he chosen to give this rebuttal? He was chosen because he is the only black Republican senator,\u201d she said. \u201cHe is that person. He is the person that Republicans want to put out front because of the problem of racism in this country and he knows that. So I was sort of disappointed that he was used in this way and didn\u2019t take that opportunity to address that type of \u2014 this type of issue head-on. That was a disappointment to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During his speech, Scott <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/tim-scott-shreds-joe-biden-in-rebuttal-speech-biden-is-tearing-us-apart-after-promising-to-unite-nation\">said<\/a> that \u201cAmerica is not a racist country\u201d and attacked the identity politics of the Left. Scott said, in part:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"23\">\n<p><em>When America comes together, we\u2019ve made tremendous progress.
