According to Carlson, if Reid\u2019s figures are correct and 95% of people she saw are still wearing masks even though they have the vaccine, \u201cmass psychosis\u201d is taking place.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDr. Gupta, I am among the full-vaccinated, joined Team Pfizer, and I did go jogging today in the park. And I did \u2013 this was the mask I wore with a doctor\u2019s mask underneath it,\u201d Reid explained to Dr. Vin Gupta earlier this week. \u201cMost of the people I saw in the park \u2014 the park was packed \u2014 I\u2019d say like 95% of the people still had masks on,\u201d she said. \u201cThere are people who are getting really upset about that. I won\u2019t name them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Fox News host mocked Reid\u2019s \u201cbrand loyalty\u201d to Pfizer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018I joined Team Pfizer!\u2019\u201d Carlson mocked. \u201cYou did? So they give you a shot of medicine, and then suddenly you\u2019ve sworn allegiance to the creepy multinational pharma conglomerate that made it? That Joy Reid is quite the consumer. Talk about brand loyalty! You never hear about anyone joining Team Advil or Team Erythromycin. Apparently, those guys need to spend more money on marketing. It works with Joy Reid.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut it was the next part of the clip that had us concerned. \u2018I\u2019m fully vaccinated!\u2019 Reid explained, \u2018And that\u2019s why when I went jogging in the park today, I put two masks over my face, just to be safe.\u2019 Of course, vaccination then two masks,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>The Fox News host compared wearing not one, but\u00a0<em>two\u00a0<\/em>masks after being vaccinated to wearing two condoms following a vasectomy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou wonder how is that different from getting a vasectomy and then wearing two condoms, alone? Not to be vulgar, but that\u2019s exactly what it\u2019s like. It\u2019s demented. That\u2019s not a precaution, it\u2019s a compulsion,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s like washing your hands 37 times before you allow yourself to brush your own hair. Freud wrote about this. Joy Reid clearly needs help. A lot of people do. You just heard Joy Reid say that 95% of the New Yorkers she saw yesterday had masks on while they were outside. Can that number be real? Even if it\u2019s half true, we have a major problem here. During President Joe Biden\u2019s address to a joint session of Congress on Wednesday, the number of people in the chamber was limited due to COVID. Those who were in attendance <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/biden-missed-opportunity-reduce-vaccine-152106201.html\">were required<\/a> to wear a mask and maintain social distancing, despite being vaccinated. Ironically, a handful of members and the president were seen\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/catturd2\/status\/1387723874637320192?s=20\">bumping fists<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/USATODAY\/status\/1387592206622543872?s=20\">bumping elbows<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/atrupar\/status\/1387574199418490885?s=20\">hugging<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/vaccines\/fully-vaccinated.html\">Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/a> (CDC), which recommends getting vaccinated:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"18\">\n<p><em>COVID-19 vaccines are effective at protecting you from getting sick. Based on what we know about COVID-19 vaccines, people who have been fully vaccinated can start to do some things that they had stopped doing because of the pandemic.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In\u00a0<strong>indoor<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>public spaces<\/strong>, the vaccination status of other people or whether they are at increased risk for severe COVID-19 is likely unknown.
