He should be persona non grata at these big events.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">As The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/uae-princess-sheikha-latifa-claims-she-is-a-hostage-in-new-videos\"><span class=\"s1\">reported<\/span><\/a> two months ago, videos were circulated that showed Sheikha Latifa claiming that she was being held captive in her home after she attempted to run away in 2018.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The Daily Wire reported:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"25.647969052224\">\n<p class=\"p2\"><i>Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed al-Maktoum, 35, can be seen giving details on her alleged detainee situation in one of her secret\u00a0<\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/av\/world-middle-east-56084768\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>video messages<\/i><\/span><\/a><i>\u00a0released by the BBC.<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><i>\u201cSo I am in a villa,\u201d she says in the video. \u201cI\u2019m a hostage and this villa has been converted into a jail. All the windows are barred shut, I can\u2019t open any window. There\u2019s five policeman outside and two policewomen inside the house. And I can\u2019t even go outside to get any fresh air.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><i>She says she doesn\u2019t know when she\u2019ll be let go, and what the conditions will be like when she is released.<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><i>The video continues with her saying, \u201cEvery day I am worried about my safety and my life. I really don\u2019t know if I\u2019m going to survive the situation. The police threatened me that I\u2019ll be in prison my whole life and I\u2019ll never see the sun again \u2026 I just want to be free. I don\u2019t know what they\u2019re planning to do with me. I really don\u2019t know. So the situation is getting more desperate every day.
