Johnny Rotten of the \u201cSex Pistols,\u201d has once again spoken out against cancel culture and political correctness.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking with the U.K.\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.co.uk\/article\/sex-pistol-johnny-rotten-how-i-became-my-wifes-carer-0dbxpxgxt\">The Times<\/a>, Lydon said that he loves journeying across America and seeing the rich diversity of scenery and people, but fears that political correctness will ruin this free nation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love being on a tour bus because I just stare out the window. I\u2019m utterly amazed and transfixed by the difference of scenery from one state to another,\u201d he said, as reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/entertainment\/sex-pistols-johnny-rotten-lyndon-speaks-out-cancel-culture-blames-colleges-media\">Fox News<\/a>. \u201cThe forests up north and the swamps down south, all of it, it\u2019s lovely. The people are very, very varied and very forgiving. A new country, new open-mindedness I suppose. Like they\u2019re not really stuck down and nailed to the floor by class warfare.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lydon moved from London to California in 2013 to take care of his wife, who suffers from Alzheimer\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese people aren\u2019t really genuinely disenfranchised at all. They just view themselves as special,\u201d he said of the PC mobs. \u201cIt\u2019s selfishness and in that respect it\u2019s divisive and can only lead to trouble. I can\u2019t believe that TV stations give some of these lunatics the space. Where is this \u2018moral majority\u2019 nonsense coming from when they\u2019re basically the ones doing all the wrong for being so bloody judgmental and vicious against anybody that doesn\u2019t go with the current popular opinion?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s just horribly, horribly tempestuous spoilt children coming out of colleges and universities with s*** for brains. And I put that in the most polite way,\u201d he later added.<\/p>\n<p>Rotten was equally critical of the United Kingdom, especially the debate over canceling former Prime Minister Winston Churchill because of racist comments he made against Indians and black people at the time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis man saved Britain. Whatever he got up to in South Africa or India beforehand is utterly irrelevant to the major issue in hand,\u201d he said. \u201cWe are not walking up and down the high street with jackboots and helmets because of that man.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Nazis were the biggest race haters of all, ever, in the history of the planet so thank you again, Winston,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the 2020 election, Lyndon declared himself a Trump voter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI became an American citizen because I believed that Obama could change the world for a better place and I truly believed that at the time,\u201d Lydon said. \u201cI was very disappointed in eight years how little was actually achieved.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lydon said that people need to throw out the \u201crule book\u201d or else suffer under stifling regulation.<\/p>\n<div class=\"tweet-embed\" readability=\"30.171428571429\">\n<p>\u201cI think that the rule books must be thrown out. Once you go down that current Democratic Party way, there\u2019s no return from that,\u201d Lydon said. \u201cIt\u2019s slowly but surely rule after rule after rule that will stifle the living daylights out of you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As to why he appreciated Trump, Lydon said it was because he\u2019s not a politician and went into politics as an \u201cindividual.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI met him once. I know, what an offensive fella. But he went into politics as the complete individual. That\u2019s what we want,\u201d Lydon said. \u201cI don\u2019t like politicians really, generally speaking, not many of them at all. I don\u2019t trust of them.
