Version: 4.0.47--><div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cndimages.nyc3.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/fb_image-68.png?w=1200&#038;h=800&#038;ixlib=react-9.0.3\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"  style=\"display:none\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"speakable\">Last week NBA legend Charles Barkley cracked a joke about the women in Georgia, saying the University of Georgia\u2019s mascot is named \u201cafter the women down there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Barkley made the comment while he was offering his analysis on TNT during the NBA\u2019s Dallas Mavericks\/Los Angeles Lakers game.<\/p>\n<p>The retired NBA star was met with some soft scolding, but also laughter from other men commentating on the game.<\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\">After Barkley was asked which college Laker guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope attended, he said, \u201cGeorgia, the only school in the world they named their mascot after the women down there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo totally uncalled for,\u201d said co-host Ernie Johnson. \u201cNot even gonna dignify that with a response.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As\u00a0Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/sports\/charles-barkley-georgia-bulldogs-named-mascot-women\">noted<\/a>, Barkley came under fire in 2012 when he criticized the physical appearance of women in San Antonio, Texas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome big ol\u2019 women down there \u2026 that\u2019s a gold mine for Weight Watchers,\u201d Barkley cracked, according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com.au\/basketball\/nba\/charles-barkley-under-fire-for-comparing-women-to-bulldogs\/news-story\/bccb21e0bfc3d5c73d4a5b81fef96769\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fox Sports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVictoria is definitely a secret [in San Antonio] \u2026 they can\u2019t wear no Victoria\u2019s Secret down there,\u201d he continued. \u201cThey wear bloomers down there \u2026 ain\u2019t nothing skimpy down there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Barkley, never one to be politically correct, has made headlines in the past for challenging the Democratic narrative when it concerns race relations.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Barkley blasted politicians for\u00a0fueling racial divides in our nation, adding that the \u201csystem\u201d is designed to foment hate and \u201cscramble the middle class.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMan, I think most white people and black people are great people,\u201d Barkley said on CBS airwaves, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/charles-barkley-politicians-fuel-hatred-between-whites-and-blacks-to-keep-their-grasp-on-money-and-power\">The Daily Wire<\/a> reported. \u201cI really believe that in my heart.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I think our system is set up where our politicians, whether they\u2019re Republicans or Democrats, are designed to make us not like each other, so they can keep their grasp [on] money and power,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey divide and conquer,\u201d Barkley asserted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI truly believe in my heart most white people and black people are awesome people,\u201d he added. \u201cBut we are so stupid following our politicians, whether they are Republicans or Democrats, and their only job is, \u2018Hey, let\u2019s make these people not like each other. We don\u2019t live in their neighborhoods. [We\u2019ve] all got money.
