According to <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/house\/549995-clyburn-fined-5k-for-metal-detector-violation\">reports<\/a>, Congressman Clyburn was reportedly fined earlier this week for avoiding metal detectors before entering the House floor.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">House Ethics Cmte: House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) has been fined $5,000 for violating House chamber security screening procedures this past Tuesday.
