On Thursday evening, the San Diego Police Department responded to reports of multiple people shot in the city\u2019s Gaslamp District.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The fatal shooting was in front of the Pendry at Fifth and J, then police say the shooter went north on Fifth and fired rounds a block away near Island Ave near Gaslamp Pizza, Callan Hotel. That\u2019s where 4 people were injured. After that encounter, the suspect had another confrontation with a group of people down the street and opened fire, which injured four people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere were a lot of witnesses around, that did follow and contacted the male,\u201d SDPD Lt. Andra Brown said. \u201cI believe there was a struggle when an officer caught up.
