Our climate is changing faster than scientists predicted and the stakes are high. Biodiversity loss. Crop failure. Social and ecological collapse. Mass extinction. We are running out of time, and our governments have failed to act. Extinction Rebellion was formed to fix this.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\">In a video posted on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/janerecker\/status\/1385202547183558667\"><span class=\"s1\">Twitter<\/span><\/a>, the activists can be seen pushing pink wheelbarrows of cow manure, chanting, \u201cNo more, no more bulls***!\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"7.0224215246637\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Climate activists are coming to dump over a dozen wheelbarrows of cow poop at the White House to protest Biden\u2019s \u201cbullshit\u201d climate plan <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/EarthDay?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#EarthDay<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/AEOPZSHFMX\">pic.twitter.com\/AEOPZSHFMX<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jane Recker (@janerecker) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/janerecker\/status\/1385202547183558667?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 22, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\">The group eventually made their way to the White House where they dumped the manure onto the street in front of the residence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/left-cow-poop-white-house-climate\">As Fox News<\/a><\/span> reported, the group\u2019s spokesperson Reilly Polka said in a statement, \u201cNet zero by 2030 and other not in my term of office scams are far too little, far too late \u2026 Biden is punting the crisis to future generations with targets that rely on unproven technologies sucking carbon out of the atmosphere. This is a massive gamble to take when the well-being of the human species and the richness of life on earth is at stake. If he cared he\u2019d set targets that expire while he\u2019s still in office. We can\u2019t keep waiting, we need change now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Among other actions, the group demands that governments \u201cGo beyond politics,\u201d writing, \u201cGovernments must create and be led by the decisions of a Citizens\u2019 Assembly on climate and ecological justice.\u201d They are also calling for governments to \u201ctell the truth by declaring a climate and ecological emergency, working with other institutions to communicate the urgency for change,\u201d and \u201c<span class=\"s2\"> act now to <\/span>halt biodiversity loss and reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2025.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/left-cow-poop-white-house-climate\">Fox News<\/a><\/span> reported that the organization is calling on Biden to declare a climate and ecological emergency, and to start a citizens\u2019 assembly to decide how to reach a net-zero emissions goal of 2025. Until they are successful in their aims, they said they \u201cwill continue to escalate acts of non-violent civil disobedience against a criminal government that is failing its duty of care to its people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Biden kicked off the first day of his 2-day virtual World Leaders climate summit on Earth Day, pledging to slice United States greenhouse gases in half by the end of this decade.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In his opening remarks, Biden called climate change \u201cthe existential crisis of our time.\u201d He added that it is \u201can economic imperative. A moment of peril but also a moment of extraordinary possibilities. Time is short, but I believe we can do this. And I believe that we will do this.\u201d In closing, he\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/speeches-remarks\/2021\/04\/22\/remarks-by-president-biden-at-the-virtual-leaders-summit-on-climate-opening-session\/\"><span class=\"s1\">said<\/span><\/a>, \u201cWe really have no choice.
