Behar was responding to a video from CNN\u2019s Don Lemon, who defended the officer\u2019s use of deadly force.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I look at this video, I see police responding to a dangerous incident where someone is armed with a knife. Police have walked up on a situation, and they need to figure out what\u2019s happening. Other lives are in danger. If we\u2019re gonna discuss this case, we need to be honest and use our common sense. We cannot have a double standard. We have to acknowledge that police have jobs to do,\u201d said Lemon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy feeling is, I don\u2019t know if that\u2019s true or not. I really can\u2019t figure it out anymore,\u201d Behar said in response to Don Lemon.<\/p>\n<p>Behar said that there is \u201csomething wrong\u201d if the only solution to someone potentially killing another human is to use deadly force.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI mean, it seems to me in a situation \u2014 this is what it looked to me. And I looked at the tape and still can\u2019t figure it out,\u201d she continued. \u201cShoot the gun in the air as a warning. Tase a person. Shoot them in the leg. Shoot them in the behind. Stop them somehow. But if the only solution is to kill a teenager, there\u2019s something wrong with this. There\u2019s something very, very wrong with the way these things are being conducted. Even if the cop had to do it, there\u2019s something wrong with it. I can\u2019t explain it any better than that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added, \u201cWe keep talking about this over and over again, and kids still keep getting shot. It\u2019s like the gun issue in this country. People keep getting shot, and nothing ever gets done about it. It\u2019s [a] very frustrating conversation to have.
