Version: 4.0.47--><div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/fb_image-3135.jpeg?w=1200&#038;h=800&#038;ixlib=react-9.0.3\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"  style=\"display:none\"><\/div>\n<p>President Joe Biden on Tuesday filed an appeal seeking to force doctors and hospitals to perform potentially harmful transgender-related procedures and surgeries even if they hold objections.<\/p>\n<p>As outlined by BECKET Law\u2019s Luke Goodrich, a\u00a0court in January struck down the administration\u2019s move to punish doctors who don\u2019t perform transgender-related procedures for supposed \u201csex discrimination.\u201d Biden on Tuesday officially appealed the ruling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe plaintiffs are religious doctors, hospitals, and clinics who joyfully serve ALL patients regardless of sex or gender identity.\u00a0They routinely provide top-notch care to transgender patients for everything from cancer to the common cold,\u201d\u00a0Goodrich <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LukeWGoodrich\/status\/1384596313694605316\">outlined<\/a> Tuesday. \u201cThey also provide millions of dollars in free and low-cost care to the elderly, poor, and underserved\u2013care that is jeopardized by the government\u2019s attempt to punish them with multi-million dollar penalties.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Goodrich decried the Biden appeal, noting the threat to religious liberty, and to the patients seeking such procedures.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">\u201cThe government\u2019s own doctors during the Obama Admin agreed: \u2018Based on a thorough review of the clinical evidence\u2026there is not enough evidence to determine whether gender reassignment surgery improves health outcomes for [patients] with gender dysphoria,&#8217;\u201d Goodrich <a href=\"https:\/\/perma.cc\/4LNT-VDYV\">cited<\/a>. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The legal expert also highlighted recent findings pertaining to the ineffectiveness of puberty blockers.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ssrcss-uf6wea-RichTextComponentWrapper e1xue1i83\" data-component=\"text-block\" readability=\"33.223140495868\">\n<div class=\"ssrcss-3z08n3-RichTextContainer e5tfeyi2\" readability=\"36.694214876033\">\n<p>\u201cThe evidence for using puberty-blocking drugs to treat young people struggling with their gender identity is \u2018very low\u2019, an official review has found,\u201d said a BBC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/health-56601386\">report<\/a> published this month. \u201cThe National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) said existing studies of the drugs were small and \u2018subject to bias and confounding.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"ssrcss-uf6wea-RichTextComponentWrapper e1xue1i83\" data-component=\"text-block\" readability=\"35\">\n<div class=\"ssrcss-3z08n3-RichTextContainer e5tfeyi2\" readability=\"40\">\n<p>\u201cThe NICE evidence review looked at what impact puberty blockers had on gender dysphoria, mental health \u2013 such as depression, anger and anxiety \u2013 and quality of life,\u201d the report added. \u201cNICE, which provides national guidance and advice to improve health and social care, said: \u2018The quality of evidence for these outcomes was assessed as very low certainty.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Biden administration, alarmingly, tapped Dr. Rachel Levine as Assistant Secretary for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), who has publicly advocated for the use of puberty blockers and the medical transition of minors. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/yes-bidens-hhs-pick-advocates-puberty-blockers-medical-transition-of-minors\">The Daily Wire<\/a> outlined:<\/p>\n<div readability=\"22.5\">\n<blockquote readability=\"38\">\n<p><em>Levine has spoken publicly about support for the medical transition of minors and the use of puberty blockers for children who \u201cjust start puberty\u201d as a way to make sure they don\u2019t \u201cgo through the wrong puberty.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In 2017, Levine served as Physician General for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at the Penn State College of Medicine and gave a speech at Franklin &#038; Marshall College that touched on the transition of youths. \u2026\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Levine spoke about past patients, including a 16-year-old boy who \u201calways felt female.\u201d The minor was directed to counseling, given hormones, and transitioned. Likewise, another patient of Levine\u2019s, a 17-year-old girl who \u201calways felt male,\u201d went through the same medical process and transitioned to the male gender.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Pre-pubescent children do not receive medical treatment, Levine said.
