(AP Photo\/Paul Sancya, File)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 11:03 AM PT \u2013 Wednesday, April 21, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>General Motors announced a new initiative that will allow many employees to continue working from home after the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>In a blog post Tuesday, CEO Mary Barra released the plan dubbed \u201cWork Appropriately,\u201d which offers increased flexibility for employees to work wherever they can have the greatest impact on achieving company goals. She went on to highlight the company\u2019s desire to be a workplace of choice for all employee, adding they hope they can create a better normal.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The future of work is not a one-size-fits-all approach. We\u2019re allowing our values and behaviors to guide us through a new approach to how and where we work, called \u201cWork Appropriately.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/0PYaVslaiu\">https:\/\/t.co\/0PYaVslaiu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Mary Barra (@mtbarra) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mtbarra\/status\/1384495789892939780?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 20, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAs we do get closer to returning to normalcy, what should a workplace look like?\u201d asked Stuart Fowle, Brand Communications Manager for General Motors. And what have we learned that is good from the past year and what have we learned that is an opportunity to change things.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This plan comes as many businesses contemplate how the future will look as the world returns to normalcy.
