The teen is facing potential life in prison.<\/p>\n<p>Norfolk Police Lt. William Kelly wrote a message to accompany his donation to Rittenhouse: \u201cGod bless. Thank you for your courage. Keep your head up. You\u2019ve done nothing wrong.\u00a0Every rank and file police officer supports you. Don\u2019t be discouraged by actions of the political class of law enforcement leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kelly\u2019s anonymous donation via a city email address was made public by The Guardian.\u00a0As highlighted by Daily Wire investigative reporter\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/twitter-promotes-breached-data-to-dox-police\">Luke Rosiak<\/a>, the left-wing outlet used data breached from charity website GiveSendGo to dox numerous low-level police officers and paramedics who made small donations to help colleagues targeted by Black Lives Matter.<\/p>\n<p>Norfolk City Manager Chip Filer said Tuesday that a review of the internal investigation of the donation found that Kelly violated city and departmental policies, the New York Post <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/04\/20\/virginia-cop-fired-after-donating-to-rittenhouse-defense-fund\/?utm_medium=SocialFlow&#038;utm_source=NYPTwitter&#038;utm_campaign=SocialFlow\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis egregious comments erode the trust between the Norfolk Police Department and those they are sworn to serve,\u201d Filer said, adding,\u00a0\u201cThe City of Norfolk has a standard of behavior for all employees, and we will hold staff accountable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Police Chief Larry Boone said in response that the police force doesn\u2019t \u201cwant perceptions of any individual officer to undermine the relations between the Norfolk Police Department and the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As highlighted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/reporters-dox-harass-paramedic-for-donating-10-to-kyle-rittenhouse-defense-fund\">The Daily Wire<\/a>, ABC4 News recently used the data breach to harass a Utah paramedic at his home for donating $10 to Rittenhouse\u2019s defense fund:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"27\">\n<p><em>ABC4 News published the paramedic\u2019s name and brought a camera crew to his home to question him about \u201chis side of things.\u201d The paramedic did not come out of his home.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>A report from the news station boasted of ABC4 News investigative reporter Jason Nguyen going to the man\u2019s home, noting \u201cthose inside the home didn\u2019t want to talk.\u201d A video of the encounter aired on the news station.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>West Valley City officials told the news station in a statement that the paramedic is \u201can employee of the West Valley City Fire Department\u201d and they are opening an \u201cinvestigation\u201d into the $10 donation.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe have become aware of a donation made using his government email account,\u201d the statement said. \u201cWe are conducting an investigation into this matter, however, such a donation would be representative of personal actions and not those of West Valley City.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c[West Valley City Fire Department\u2019s] conducting an investigation after a paramedic is caught donating $10 to the defense fund of Kyle Rittenhouse using his government email,\u201d Nguyen posted to Twitter on Saturday.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>An organization raising funds for Kyle Rittenhouse\u2019s legal defense, #FightBack Foundation, published a video in September outlining the events of the night the then-17-year-old fatally shot two rioters in Kenosha. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/the-truth-in-11-minutes-defense-lawyer-posts-video-of-kyle-rittenhouse\">The Daily Wire<\/a> reported on portions of the video:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"47\">\n<p><em>The video shows Rittenhouse tending to hurt protesters during the night of the riot,\u00a0before tensions escalate and the teen finds himself pursued by a mob and pinned between cars as gun shots ring out nearby.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cEvery decade or so, a legal matter arises that holds the power to negatively affect our lives for generations to come,\u201d the narrator prefaces the video. \u201cRegardless of what side of the political spectrum you identify with, this is about you.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cTo prevent the total destruction of their communities, good Samaritans united to guard local businesses,\u201d the video continues, showing destruction from rioters.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cSo people are getting injured,\u201d Rittenhouse himself says before the incident, the video captures. \u201cOur job is to protect this business. Part of my job is to help people.
