Maxine Waters (D-CA) said on Saturday night that if Derek Chauvin is not found guilty of murder for the death of George Floyd that activists must \u2018get more confrontational\u2019 on \u2018the street\u2019 because the activists need to \u2018make sure that they know we mean business,\u2019\u201d reported <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/democrat-maxine-waters-on-if-derek-chauvin-is-acquitted-get-more-confrontational-on-the-street\"><span>The Daily Wire<\/span><\/a><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWe\u2019re looking for a guilty verdict. We\u2019re looking for a guilty verdict. And we\u2019re looking to see if all of this [inaudible] that took place and has been taking place after they saw what happened to George Floyd,\u201d Waters said. \u201cIf nothing does not happen, then we know, that we\u2019ve got to not only stay in the street, but we\u2019ve got to fight for justice, but I am very hopefully and I hope that we\u2019re going to get a verdict that will say guilty, guilty, guilty. And if we don\u2019t, we cannot go away.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/maxine-waters-responds-to-judge-who-slammed-her-for-calling-on-protesters-to-get-more-confrontational\">The Daily Wire<\/a> noted, Judge Peter Cahill, who presided over the Chauvin trial, \u201cslammed Waters during closing arguments on Monday when defense attorney Eric Nelson sought to have the case dismissed because, as he argued, Waters\u2019 remarks can be \u2018reasonably interpreted to be, threats against the sanctity of the jury process, threatening and intimidating a jury, demanding that if there\u2019s not a guilty verdict that there would be further problems.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Cahill notably responded by <\/span><span>saying<\/span><span>, \u201cI\u2019ll give you that Congresswoman Waters may have given you something on appeal that may result in this whole trial being overturned.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/republicans-to-force-vote-on-censure-resolution-against-rep-waters-over-her-remarks-about-chauvin-trial\/2021\/04\/20\/34e5f1f8-a1df-11eb-a7ee-949c574a09ac_story.html\"><span>The Washington Post<\/span><\/a><span> reported earlier today that <\/span><span>\u201cDemocrats held firm in their support for Waters with all party members voting to \u2018table,\u2019 or kill, the censure resolution introduced by Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, 216-210.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
