Ron DeSantis pulled no punches describing President Biden when discussing the visceral anger and hatred emanating from the political Left in America after the 2020 election, calling Biden an \u201caggressive left-wing culture warrior.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=4oSdTwjljDQ\">spoke<\/a> with Tucker Carlson this week, who asked about the Left,\u00a0\u201cWhy did they\u00a0get angrier when they won?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think they have a fraction of their base that is just perpetually angry,\u201d DeSantis commented. \u201cI think they\u2019re very caustic and nasty.\u00a0I think unless they make us a complete socialist country, these people are never going to be happy, and I think that even though Biden\u2019s been the most left-wing president of our lifetimes, I would say, even more than LBJ \u2014LBJ wasn\u2019t as left-wing on the culture as Biden is, and Biden is an aggressive left-wing culture warrior \u2014 but I think anything short of complete domination of conservatism, making sure people that have conservative views are shut out, anything short of that, they\u2019re just not going to be happy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I think the problem with the Democrat Party and the reason why they have 50 Senators, a bare House majority, this is not a landslide for them when everyone was predicting that,\u201d DeSantis continued.<\/p>\n<p>He added confidently, \u201cI think they\u2019re captive to that part of their base and I think that\u2019s ultimately going to be their undoing in 2022 and then I think probably in 2024. So I know people were upset about the election and it feels like we\u2019re under siege from all the stuff coming out of Washington and the media, and I get it, but I do think there\u2019s going to be a reaction to this, Tucker. There\u2019s just too many people in our country that are good people, decent people, that love what America stands for, and I think you see it in these special elections already. Republicans are turning out. And I\u2019m not suggesting everything\u2019s about the elections because there\u2019s way more in our society that we need to be dealing with that has nothing to do with elections. But I do think 2022 is an opportunity for us to be a big statement and to show that you\u2019ve gone too far.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carlson asked, \u201cCan you have a country where nobody believes the news media?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s a big problem,\u201d DeSantis answered. \u201cIf you look, the corporate media has always had a liberal bias. If you go back 20 or 30 years, it would always be through a liberal prism, but they wouldn\u2019t just do some of the stuff that they do now. Now they are actively partisan, and not only that, it\u2019s all about crafting a narrative regardless of the facts. And so if there\u2019s a fact that\u2019s inconvenient to the narrative, they\u2019ll smother the fact. They\u2019ll ignore the fact in order to be able to continue with the narrative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd you think about some of the stuff that\u2019s been put out since Trump\u2019s been president. Russia collusion: false. Jesse Smollet: false. \u2026\u00a0 All these bombshells turned out to be false. The phone call that Trump supposedly had with Georgia where they fabricated quotes? Those aren\u2019t even real quotes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo I think it\u2019s a big problem for democracy,\u201d he stated. \u201cPart of it, there\u2019s no accountability for the corporate press. They can do this with impunity and no one really holds them accountable. I think their model is kind of smear their opponent for clicks and I think that worked very well for them when Trump was president because they were really playing to an enraged leftwing base. Well, now that we\u2019re in a different environment and you see the ratings going down, I don\u2019t know how the websites are doing, but I\u2019d imagine the traffic on those are down as well so they\u2019ve got to figure out what they\u2019re going to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carlson asked, \u201cWhat does it mean for you if the Orlando Sentinel or the Tampa Tribune\u2026 attacks you, sincere question: do you care?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo,\u201d DeSantis instantly replied.<\/p>\n<p>Carlson pressed, \u201cYou don\u2019t care at all?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis, now grinning, \u201cNo.\u201d He summed up, \u201cI think what it does, it probably hardens people that are not inclined to support someone like me with my philosophy, but in terms of our base, they don\u2019t believe these newspapers anymore.
