That will make you think twice about shooting anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"6.9325153374233\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">In a now deleted tweet, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/iamcardib?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@iamcardib<\/a> comes out AGAINST defunding the police. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/mpzTXygFEZ\">pic.twitter.com\/mpzTXygFEZ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Katie Daviscourt\ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\uddf8 (@KatieDaviscourt) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KatieDaviscourt\/status\/1382883088242331650?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 16, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The person made the remark in response to something Cardi B stated prior where she brought up the recent shooting in Chicago where a 13-year-old was killed by police after he tried to run and was armed with handgun.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat video of that 13-year-old falling on his a*s after getting shot by a cop is so sick, sad and disgusting. I\u2019m so tired of police brutality &amp; entitlement,\u201d she tweeted. \u201cWe are sooo tired of it. When will it end? like this s**t is becoming too much. Footage of the incident was released on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The Wall Street Journal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/adam-toledo-video-shows-13-year-old-boy-fatally-shot-by-chicago-police-11618520225\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"30\">\n<p><em>Police charged 21-year-old Ruben Roman, who was walking with Adam when police responded to the call of shots fired, with felony reckless discharge of a firearm, felony unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, and felony endangerment of a child in connection with the incident. \u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Footage from the officer\u2019s body-worn camera shows his vantage point as he chases after the boy down an alley, repeatedly yelling for him to stop. The officer yelled, \u201cShow me your f\u2014 hands.\u201d The boy turned toward the officer with arms raised and nothing in his hands. The officer yelled, \u201cDrop it, drop it,\u201d and immediately fired a single shot before rushing over. \u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>A police report of the shooting indicates that officers thought the teenager was armed with a gun. Prosecutors said in Mr. Roman\u2019s bond hearing that a 9-millimeter Ruger was found near the fence where the boy was shot.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>A second video from a different angle shows the boy pausing before turning toward the officer, extending his arm behind a wooden fence as if tossing something, then raising his hands as he turns.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A lawyer for the family said it was not clear what the boy threw behind the fence, but acknowledged that \u201cit could be a gun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A source within the Chicago Police Department slammed Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot today over her remarks about the incident, saying that morale was really bad from the shooting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMoral[e] is really bad against the mayor right now,\u201d the source <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MattFinnFNC\/status\/1382870744292462592\">told<\/a> Fox News. \u201cWhen she came out after the shooting she said she wanted to go after the person who put the gun in the hands of Toledo.
