Gilmore is charged with one count of sex trafficking a minor, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-nj\/pr\/camden-man-charged-sex-trafficking-minor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to the Department of Justice (DOJ).<\/p>\n<p>Investigators discovered in April that a missing juvenile from Pennsylvania was being advertised on a website \u201cthat is often used to advertise acts of prostitution.\u201d The minor was allegedly being advertised for <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/02\/texas-family-four-arrested-sex-trafficked-waitresses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sexually illicit activities<\/a>. An undercover agent used the number associated with the ad to converse with Gilmore about the juvenile in question on April 13, according to the DOJ.<\/p>\n<p>The agent discovered the missing female minor was staying in a motel in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/16\/florida-pastor-coach-arrested-sex-trafficking-sting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Pastor, High School Coach Among Nearly 80 People Arrested In Sex Trafficking Sting Operation)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Camden man charged with sex trafficking of a minor <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/icuJjpVrBH\">https:\/\/t.co\/icuJjpVrBH<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 NJ US Attorney (@USAO_NJ) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/USAO_NJ\/status\/1383109556843245575?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 16, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Gilmore and the undercover agent exchanged a series of texts that led to the undercover agent setting up a meeting with the juvenile victim in a motel room. Gilmore told the undercover agent about the various rates, such as $300 for an hour, $200 for a half-hour and $100 for a \u201cshort stay,\u201d according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-nj\/press-release\/file\/1387526\/download\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">complaint<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After the undercover agent agreed to meet the victim, Gilmore told the agent to \u201cget condoms while your [sic] there, I\u2019ll give u [sic] the money for them,\u201d the complaint read.<\/p>\n<p>The undercover agent went to the motel and met with the victim who allegedly asked if the agent had condoms and the pair \u201cdiscussed various sexual activities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The undercover agent told the victim he had to retrieve the money from his vehicle, and when he opened the door to the motel room other agents swarmed in. Gilmore, meanwhile, fled the scene until law enforcement was able to stop him, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n<p>The charge carries a statutory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life, according to the DOJ.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A New Jersey man was charged Friday for sex trafficking a missing minor, authorities announced.31-year-old Semaj A.
