Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) fired back at Joe Biden\u2019s Justice Department nominee Vanita Gupta, after she appeared to claim \u201cequal justice for all\u201d is racist.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the Senate floor Thursday, the Arkansas Republican grilled Gupta for her 2005 report titled Critical Race Lawyering in Tulia, Texas. The Fordham Law Review article begun with her suggesting the \u201crule of law\u201d is simply an \u201cinsidious motto\u201d for white supremacy.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Anyone who believes \u201cequal justice for all\u201d is code for racism is unfit to serve at the U.S. Department of Justice.<\/p>\n<p>Vanita Gupta not only holds this belief, but believes every single American is racist. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/0oVb2fLQtg\">pic.twitter.com\/0oVb2fLQtg<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Tom Cotton (@SenTomCotton) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenTomCotton\/status\/1382797980407885827?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 15, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cCode words, that\u2019s what she called them, for some kind of twisted racism,\u201d Cotton stated. \u201cAnyone who thinks that the rule of law for equal justice for all, or equal protection are simply code words for racism, is unfit for any position in our government. (Photo by JIM WATSON\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Cotton argued the Democrat built her career off attacking the character of at least 50 sitting U.S. federal judges, many of whom are conservative. He recalled how last October, Gupta said President Trump\u2019s Supreme Court justice pick Amy Coney Barrett was \u201ca vote against civil and human rights.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe accused four different jurists currently on the Supreme Court, of being liars, extremists, dangerous, or opposed to civil and human rights,\u201d Cotton stated. \u201cShe must have had a keyboard Mac Pro, hit a shortcut button and it said \u2018opposed to civil and human rights.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cotton said this begs the question of whether Gupta is capable and willing to work on issues that are important to the average American.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThink about that. The person nominated by Joe Biden to oversee, among other, things the federal government civil rights enforcement, says that she believes every single American is racist,\u201d Cotton said. \u201cThis preposterous idea that anyone and everyone is inherently racist is at the core of a pernicious ideology pushed by the left called critical race theory.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cotton finished his remarks by saying it is Vanita Gupta does not think highly of Americans and therefore should not represent this country.<\/p>\n<h4>MORE NEWS: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oann.com\/sen-graham-slams-court-packing-as-radical-idea\/\">Sen.
