It\u2019s been very scary and overwhelming. It just \u2014 it makes me sad that some politicians use trans kids like me to get votes from people who hate me just because I exist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shappley quoted a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew%2025%3A40-45&amp;version=NIV;KJV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">passage from the Gospel of Matthew<\/a> in which a master tells his servants, \u201c<span id=\"en-NIV-24049\" class=\"text Matt-25-40\"><span class=\"woj\">Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cGod made me, God loves me for who I am, and God does not make mistakes,\u201d Shappley said. \u201cYou should be careful how you treat the least of these.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 10-year-old also said that \u201cmy mom has been giving everything she has to stand up for me,\u201d but noted that \u201cthese new things y\u2019all are trying to do, we both are having to advocate for each other because you are now targeting a great mom and a great nurse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy mom needs her nursing license to take care of me and my siblings,\u201d Shappley continued. \u201cBullying is bad. Please stop. Don\u2019t make bad choices. She was verbalizing that she was a girl at least six times a day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen Kai was finally allowed to be her true self, she blossomed,\u201d Kimberly Shappley told Good Housekeeping. \u201cI put princess panties in her drawer and she fell to the ground, hugging those panties and sobbing, saying, \u2018Thank you, Mommy, thank you.\u2019 Within a few short weeks of letting her transition, she was no longer lying, no bed-wetting, no more nightmares.
