Throwing it at the police?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike I said it\u2019s for my family,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLiterally for your family,\u201d the reporter said. \u201cAlright.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Former President Donald Trump referenced soup cans at a meeting with the National Association Police Organizations in the summer of 2020. \u201cAnd then when they get caught they say, \u2018No, this is soup for my family.\u2019 They\u2019re so innocent. \u2018This is soup for my family.\u2019 It\u2019s incredible, and yet people are coming over with bags of soup \u2013 big bags of soup,\u201d Trump said at the time, referring to protestors who threw cans at police.<\/p>\n<p>Former police officer Kim Potter <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/12\/minnesota-gop-daunte-wright-tim-waltz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">shot and killed<\/a> Daunte Wright during a traffic stop on Sunday in Brooklyn Center, sparking riots and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/12\/youre-not-fking-live-protester-cusses-cnn-reporter-daunte-wright-protest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">protests<\/a> through the suburb and Minneapolis.
