Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey has not signaled whether or not she would sign the bill, which passed the Republican-controlled legislature with a vote of 25-5.<\/p>\n<p>Republican Sen. Garlan Gudger of Alabama said he believes the bill is important to \u201cprotect the integrity of women\u2019s athletics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it is unfair for biological males to compete and beat females in high school sports. There are biological advantages that men possess just naturally because of genetics,\u201d Gudger said.<\/p>\n<p>Democratic Senate Minority Leader Bobby Singleton said the bill\u2019s passage would make it harder to recruit sporting events and industries to the state, according to The Associated Press report.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are spending too much time on craziness like this,\u201d Singleton said. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/13\/henry-mcmaster-ncaa-transgender-atheletes-south-carolina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Gov.
