The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/116\/bills\/hr133\/BILLS-116hr133enr.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bill<\/a> was passed by the U.S. Congress in December 2020 and prohibits any \u201cdeceptive act or practice in or affecting commerce associated with the treatment, cure, prevention, mitigation, or diagnosis of COVID\u201319.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/15\/vaccine-hesitancy-confidence-johnson-pause-cdc-joe-biden-poll-blood-clots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Poll: Americans No Longer Confident In Johnson &amp; Johnson Vaccine After CDC Pause)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Justice Department is committed to preventing the unlawful marketing of unproven COVID-19 treatments,\u201d Acting Assistant Attorney General of DOJ\u2019s Civil Division Brian Boynton said. \u201cDeceptive marketing of unproven products discourages consumers from following health and safety guidelines provided by public health officials.
