Jim Jordan during a Coronavirus Select Committee hearing. She argued that <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/23\/rand-paul-dr-fauci-experts-give-evidence-post-vaccine-mask-edicts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fauci<\/a> was doing whatever he could to hang onto the fame and power that he accrued throughout the pandemic. <strong><a class=\"text-black\" href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/15\/maxine-waters-scolds-jim-jordan-dr-fauci\/\">(RELATED: \u2018Respect The Chair And Shut Your Mouth\u2019: Maxine Waters Interrupts Tense Exchange With Dr. Fauci To Scold Jim Jordan)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Co-host Dana Perino began the segment with a clip showing Jordan arguing with <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/21\/rand-paul-study-vaccines-neutralize-covid-variants-anthony-fauci\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fauci<\/a> and then with Democratic South Carolina Rep. and Committee Chair James Clyburn, prompting Democratic California Rep. Maxine Waters to tell Jordan, \u201cYou need to respect the Chair and shut your mouth!\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/08\/dana-perino-kamala-harris-hasnt-addressed-cuomo-accusations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Perino<\/a> said that it was no wonder Congress had a low approval rating, adding, \u201cI mean, wow. It\u2019s a race to the bottom and one of them is going to win it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverybody loves to hear themselves talk, don\u2019t they?\u201d McDowell agreed. \u201cThere is nobody waiting around for Tony Fauci to tell them it\u2019s okay to go out and eat in a restaurant. Well, maybe there are a few people who have Fauci altars in their basement and are busy watching CNN.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McDowell went on to argue that people who had been vaccinated should feel free to go out to a restaurant if they wanted to do so.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut this is \u2014 these are people, look at Tony Fauci, he is quickly slipping into hacktastic irrelevancy. He will do anything to hang on to the attention and the power and the fame he gained,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe couldn\u2019t answer the question because the members were going after each other,\u201d Perino noted.<\/p>\n<p>McDowell said that it might be a good thing that Fauci had not been able to answer, adding, \u201cI don\u2019t think that Fauci has read the room. I don\u2019t think he has paid attention to what\u2019s going on in the country. Little old ladies who have been vaccinated in my building, they don\u2019t even wear a mask anymore and they just do this V for victory.
