Rothschild family investment firm.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"11.302752293578\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">For reference, here\u2019s Lynn Forester de Rothschild, the organizer of the weekend call of 100 multinational corporate chieftains who oppose election integrity reforms.<\/p>\n<p>I wonder why they so vigorously oppose our populist movement?\u2026<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/5KuCwj9ZHR\">https:\/\/t.co\/5KuCwj9ZHR<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/KHk1rbTuEo\">pic.twitter.com\/KHk1rbTuEo<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Steve Cortes (@CortesSteve) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CortesSteve\/status\/1381592502902358020?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 12, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI applaud all the CEOs who use the power of their corporations for the common good,\u201d de Rothschild said in the press release.<\/p>\n<p>De Rothschild has said her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coalitionforinclusivecapitalism.com\/about\/\">coalition\u2019s<\/a> goal is to \u201creform capitalism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>An essay co-written by de Rothschild said capitalism \u201coften encourages shortsightedness, contributes to wide disparities between the rich and the poor, and tolerates the reckless treatment of environmental capital. That group is known as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inclusivecapitalism.com\/our-guardians\/\">Guardians for Inclusive Capitalism<\/a> and includes the heads of the Ford and Rockefeller foundations as well as Kenneth Frazier, the chief executive of Merck &amp; Co., who reportedly led the April 10 conference call.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, Frazier co-organized a letter signed by 72 black business leaders calling on corporate America to fight proposed legislation that they say restricts voting.<\/p>\n<h4>Yale<\/h4>\n<p>The Yale Chief Executive Leadership Institute (CELI) is billed as \u201cthe world\u2019s first school for CEOs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Its founder is Jeffrey Sonnenfeld, a professor at the Yale School of Management whose consulting clients have <a href=\"https:\/\/speaking.com\/speakers\/jeffrey-a-sonnenfeld\/\">included<\/a> American Airlines, JPMorgan Chase, General Electric, and Marriott, while his speaking fees fall in the range of $50,000 to <a href=\"https:\/\/speaking.com\/speakers\/jeffrey-a-sonnenfeld\/\">$75,000<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Institute hosts CEO summits that have provided a steady stream of media narratives that told the world that corporate leaders did not support former president Donald J. Trump.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThree-quarters of American executives and CEOs said they\u2019ve apologized to international partners about President Trump\u2019s rhetoric,\u201d The Hill <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/business-a-lobbying\/421846-survey-three-quarters-of-ceos-say-theyve-apologized-to-international\">reported<\/a> in 2018, citing data compiled by CELI.<\/p>\n<p>A pre-election CNN headline trumpeted: \u201cAmerica\u2019s CEOs say Trump failed on coronavirus \u2013and they\u2019re backing Biden,\u201d citing \u201ca poll conducted by the Yale School of Management.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A mid-January Bloomberg headline said \u201cCEOs in Yale Survey Expect New Capitol Attacks, Back Impeachment.\u201d The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2021-01-13\/ceos-expect-new-capitol-attacks-say-trump-should-be-impeached\">article<\/a> quoted Sonnenfeld as saying unidentified CEOs associated with his group thought there was a \u201clarger conspiracy paying the hotel and travel costs of the insurrectionists.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, \u201cthe CEOs, meeting in the second session in a week, reiterated unanimously that companies should cut off donations to legislators who sided with Trump in opposing the 2020 presidential election results.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It continued: \u201cMost of the executives supported blocking Trump on social media, and they unanimously supported the idea of putting people identified as participants in the Capitol riots on airline no-fly lists.\u201d<\/p>\n<h4>Leadership Now Project<\/h4>\n<p>Leadership Now Project <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leadershipnowproject.org\/\">describes<\/a> itself as \u201ca membership organization of business and thought leaders taking action to fix American democracy\u201d that \u201cwas incubated by a group of Harvard Business School alumni.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Its CEO, Daniella Ballou-Aares, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leadershipnowproject.org\/about\">served<\/a> as the Senior Advisor for Development to the Secretary of State during the Obama administration. She started her career at Bain &amp; Company.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/georgia-gop-governor-rips-mlb-for-caving-to-cancel-culture-says-president-biden-is-lying-about-voting-reform-bill\">described<\/a> national groups\u2019 sudden interest in the Peach State as \u201ca political play\u201d by progressives searching for a justification for the U.S. Congress\u2019s H.R. 1, which he calls \u201can unconstitutional power grab\u201d that would federalize elections.<\/p>\n<p>Leadership Now has made <a href=\"https:\/\/us19.campaign-archive.com\/?u=3541720e9f940b0f4113d27ad&amp;id=62a928cc04\">statements<\/a> to that effect, pointing to Georgia as a reason why federal legislation was necessary.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"11.244525547445\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Georgia\u2019s voting bill, passed last night, severely curtails access to the ballot box, esp. for communities of color. HR1 is necessary to make sure laws like this cannot infringe on the right to vote. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/obVncWPMqv\">https:\/\/t.co\/obVncWPMqv<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Leadership Now (@LeadershipNP) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LeadershipNP\/status\/1375464844057534467?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 26, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>After an unruly mob stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6, Leadership Now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leadershipnowproject.org\/immediateactions\">encouraged<\/a> CEOs to blacklist \u201cthose who enabled the President\u2019s attempt to undermine democracy\u201d by ensuring they \u201cwill have no opportunity for future employment with your company.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Leadership Now Project asks corporate leaders to take a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.leadershipnowproject.org\/businessforracialequity\">Business for Racial Equity<\/a>\u201d pledge, which calls for companies to take action to dismantle \u201cthe biggest levers of racist power in this country,\u201d including \u201cbiased policing.\u201d The vow repeats <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/black-lives-matter-led-drive-to-defund-the-police-also-targets-capitalism\">teachings<\/a> from prominent Black Lives Matter leaders who believe police forces exist to maintain America\u2019s capitalist social order.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, the organization <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leadershipnowproject.org\/democracydefenders20\">recognized<\/a> \u201ca group of principled conservatives and Republicans\u201d for its \u201c2020 Democracy Defender list,\u201d including Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah \u201cfor voting his conscience on impeachment\u201d and Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin \u201cfor consistently calling out threats to democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Leadership Now shares an address with the Washington D.C. branch of Dalberg Global Development Advisors.
