This system can\u2019t be reformed. As Wright gets out of the car, the officer on the driver\u2019s side begins to arrest him but appears to stop. Potter steps forward and grabs Wright\u2019s arm. Wright then appears to reenter the driver\u2019s seat as a struggle ensues.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Potter is seen pulling out her firearm and aiming at Wright as she shouts \u201cTaser\u201d multiple times. After she fires and Wright drives away, she said, \u201cOh (expletive), I just shot him.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In December 2020, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/colin-kaepernick-gets-ben-jerrys-ice-cream-flavor-proceeds-funneled-to-his-own-foundation\/\">The Daily Wire<\/a> reported, former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick announced his joint venture with Ben &amp; Jerry\u2019s for a new flavor titled, \u201cChange the Whirled.\u201d The Daily Wire noted, \u201cAll the proceeds from the ice cream will be funneled to Kaepernick\u2019s anti-police foundation \u2018Know Your Rights Camp\u2019 and matched by millionaires Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield\u2019s company.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kaepernick tweeted, \u201cI\u2019ve teamed up with [Ben &amp; Jerry\u2019s]&nbsp;to serve up joy on the journey to justice! Today, we\u2019re excited to introduce Change the Whirled, a new non-dairy flavor that hits shelves in early-2021! 100% of my proceeds will go to [Know Your Rights Camp] with matching support from Ben &amp; Jerry\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In November 2019, Ben &amp; Jerry\u2019s Ice Cream <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/ben-jerrys-announce-another-pro-bernie-ice-cream-paul-bois\/\">announced<\/a> a new unofficial flavor honoring Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). &nbsp;\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/person\/ben-cohen\">Ben Cohen<\/a>, who co-founded the famed ice cream brand, announced Friday the creation of \u2018Bernie\u2019s Back,\u2019 following a similar release during the last Democratic presidential primary,\u201d reported&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/blogs\/in-the-know\/in-the-know\/455930-sanders-gets-second-ben-jerrys-flavor\">The Hill<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In September 2019, Ben &amp; Jerry\u2019s introduced the flavor \u201cJustice Remix\u2019d.\u201d They stated in a press release, \u201cThe iconic ice cream company has partnered with Advancement Project National Office to launch Justice ReMix\u2019d, a flavor created to spotlight structural racism in a broken criminal legal system.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/justice-remixd-new-ben-jerrys-flavor-takes-paul-bois\/\">The Daily Wire<\/a> noted, \u201cThe Advancement Project National Office supports far-left criminal justice reform by pushing&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2014\/08\/school-prison-pipeline-ian-tuttle\/\">deeply tendentious talking points<\/a> like the \u2018school-to-prison pipeline.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur country needs to invest in services that build up communities rather than those that tear them down,\u201d said the organization\u2019s executive director, Judith Browne Dianis. \u201cThat means ending a wealth-based pre-trial detention system that locks people up because they are poor, black or brown. It means dismantling the school-to-prison pipeline, divesting from criminalizing students and investing in the creation of high-quality education and services.
