Officer Sheskey was not charged with any wrong doing,\u201d the statement read.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cHe acted within the law and was consistent with training. This incident was also reviewed internally. Officer Sheskey was found to have been acting within policy and will not be subjected to discipline,\u201d the statement continued.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cAs of March 31, 2021, Officer Sheskey has returned from administrative leave. He\u2019s got my keys.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Sheskey\u2019s attorney, Brendan Matthews, noted that if Blake had been allowed to drive away and something happened to the child, the entire narrative would be about why the officer didn\u2019t do something to stop Blake.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>According to the New York Post at the time, Blake had a warrant out for his arrest at the time of the incident.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The New York Post <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/08\/28\/this-is-why-jacob-blake-had-a-warrant-out-for-his-arrest\/\"><span>reported<\/span><\/a><span>:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"25\">\n<p><i><span>Blake is accused in the criminal complaint, which was obtained by The Post, of breaking into the home of a woman he knew and sexually assaulting her.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>The victim, who is only identified by her initials in the paperwork, told police she was asleep in bed with one of her children when Blake came into the room around 6 a.m. and allegedly said, \u201cI want my sh-t,\u201d the record states.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>She told cops Blake then used his finger to sexually assault her, sniffed it and said, \u201cSmells like you\u2019ve been with other men,\u201d the criminal complaint alleges.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>The officer who took her statement said she \u201chad a very difficult time telling him this and cried as she told how the defendant assaulted her.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Soon after Blake was shot by police, violent riots erupted in Kenosha, Wisconsin, resulting in over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kenoshanews.com\/news\/local\/damage-due-to-rioting-unrest-in-kenosha-tops-50-million-2-000-guard-assisted-here\/article_26473ec9-c08a-5490-9d09-cc2b840b65f1.html\">$50 million<\/a> in damage.<\/p>\n<p><i>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
