CRT posits that racism is present in <em>every&nbsp;<\/em>situation, and that every subject in school should focus on it.<\/p>\n<p>For example, in October, the Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, school board adopted a CRT-infused \u201cEquity Resolution\u201d that said that \u201cWe honor that, because of the permanence of racism, a district free from oppression is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bccs286.org\/site\/default.aspx?PageType=3&amp;DomainID=10&amp;ModuleInstanceID=12&amp;ViewID=6446EE88-D30C-497E-9316-3F8874B3E108&amp;RenderLoc=0&amp;FlexDataID=6715&amp;PageID=13\">not attainable<\/a>.\u201d A few months after its young people were told that they were hopelessly oppressed, Brooklyn Center became the site of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/rioters-smash-police-cars-vandalize-police-station-in-minneapolis-while-looters-storm-businesses-following-police-shooting\">riots<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The ideology is often pushed by activists regardless of the wishes of parents; in Loudoun County, Virginia, parents who opposed CRT were put on an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/loudoun-teachers-target-parents-critical-race-theory-hacking\">enemies list<\/a> that pledged to hack their communications and \u201cexpose these people publicly.\u201d A counterpart of Carroll\u2019s diversity committee in Loudoun, the Minority Student Achievement Advisory Council, said \u201cwe can and will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/after-enemies-list-school-body-pledges-to-silence-the-opposition\">silence the opposition<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>School bureaucrats have increasingly ignored the wishes of residents to push ideology that is out of the mainstream. One district in Florida even hired a contractor which held racial training sessions for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/with-children-fully-indoctrinated-schools-have-a-new-target-parents\">parents<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But in Carroll, parents fought back before the ideology could gain a footing.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/education\/2020\/12\/04\/judge-halts-carroll-isds-diversity-plan-after-opponents-win-temporary-restraining-order\/\">Dallas News<\/a> reported that the plans led to protests, with parents accusing elected board members of using the schools and children to promote a \u201cleft-wing agenda\u201d with \u201cdiversity police.\u201d A parent filed a civil suit with charges similar to those taken up by the local district attorney.<\/p>\n<p>In Texas, violating the Open Meetings Act is a misdemeanor that comes with a fine of up to $500 and\/or up to six months in jail.<\/p>\n<p>Because educators often take jobs around the country and attend the same training programs, fringe racial rhetoric has become common in all regions.
