Greg Abbott (R-Texas) told sources on Sunday that Republicans are not alone anymore when it comes to pushing back against the Biden administration\u2019s handling of the southern border.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Abbott called on the federal government to shut down the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, after multiple allegations surfaced of sexual abuse, understaffing and lack of food for the children. Allegedly, COVID-19 positive children were not being isolated from the others.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Reports of sexual assault, bullying, understaffing &amp; disregard for COVID protocols at the Freeman Coliseum facility are unacceptable. <\/p>\n<p>The Biden Admin. must SHUT DOWN this facility &amp; protect these children.<\/p>\n<p>Details of these disturbing allegations:<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/pCyw2hGjCw\">https:\/\/t.co\/pCyw2hGjCw<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/NfUNKIoBGf\">pic.twitter.com\/NfUNKIoBGf<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Greg Abbott (@GregAbbott_TX) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GregAbbott_TX\/status\/1380562257868906496?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 9, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Republican governor cited Biden\u2019s lack of preparation for the influx of migrant children and his refusal to follow Trump-era border policies as the main contributing factors to the current border crisis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Biden administration caused this crisis and has repeatedly failed to address it. Gonzalez-Pool\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Texas governor added&nbsp;\u201cyou have Democrat members of the United States Congress, you have Democratic members of the state legislature, as well as Democrat local officials who are pushing back against the Biden administration as much as conservatives in the state of Texas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rep.
