(AP Photo\/Patrick Semansky)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 5:59 PM PT \u2013 Sunday, April 11, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>Joe Biden\u2019s infrastructure plan is coming under fire by outside sources as he continues to look for bipartisan engagement.<\/p>\n<p>Analysts said tax increases are on the table to pay for the massive $2 trillion plan, however Biden has been clear he\u2019s willing to negotiate. They said when it comes to raising the corporate tax rate from 21 to 28 percent, the administration could compromise on that in order to get a \u201cyes\u201d vote on the floor.<\/p>\n<p>A journalist at the New York Times has already noted the plan will likely not be paid for. Columnist David Brooks made those comments during an interview on Saturday, suggesting Democrats will keep all the spending in the bill, but will compromise on the tax increases in the plan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the Democrats will get what they want on spending, and then they\u2019ll compromise on tax increases,\u201d Brooks said. \u201cAnd so, the plan will not be paid for. (AP Photo\/Andrew Harnik)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cSo inaction is not an option, but there is a strong preference for the president, the administration, certainly for me to do these things in regular order,\u201d Buttigieg said. \u201cThe sooner the better, I think is the bottom line. We\u2019ve got to get this done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speculation has continued to swirl whether or not Democrats will force the plan through using reconciliation and avoiding the filibuster if they can\u2019t find appropriate Republican support.<\/p>\n<p>Joe Biden is expected to sit down with a bipartisan group of lawmakers from both the House and Senate this week to push his infrastructure plan.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The idea of infrastructure has always evolved to meet the aspirations of the American people \u2014 and it\u2019s evolving again today. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/AgJAdN4HML\">pic.twitter.com\/AgJAdN4HML<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 President Biden (@POTUS) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/POTUS\/status\/1379921373028564996?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 7, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This came as Republicans have signaled disapproval over the massive spending plan.<\/p>\n<p>Biden has indicated he\u2019ll move forward with the plan, regardless of their support.
