(Photo by Amr Alfiky-Pool\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 11:40 AM PT \u2013 Sunday, April 11, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>A journalist at the New York Times warned Joe Biden\u2019s infrastructure plan will not be paid for.<\/p>\n<p>Analysts said tax increases were on the table to pay for the massive $2 trillion plan, however, Biden has been clear he\u2019s willing to negotiate. They said when it comes to raising the corporate tax rate from 21 to 28 percent, the administration could compromise on the matter in order to get a \u201cyes\u201d vote on the floor.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/by\/david-brooks\">Columnist David Brooks<\/a> made those comments during an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8l3SfzeS6qQ&amp;amp;t=348s\">interview<\/a> Saturday. He suggested Democrats will keep all the spending in the bill, but will ultimately compromise.<\/p>\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Brooks and Capehart on the filibuster, reconciliation, and the American Jobs Plan\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8l3SfzeS6qQ?start=348&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the Democrats will get what they want on spending and then they\u2019ll compromise on tax increases,\u201d Brooks stated. \u201cAnd so, the plan will not be paid for. That would fit the norm.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, the White House has said it is prepared to negotiate the tax hikes needed to pay for the current infrastructure plan.
