Instead, when the project was unveiled last week, there were just plain old Tesla vehicles \u2014 driven by humans \u2014 creeping along at 35 mph.<\/p>\n<p>The $53 million loop \u2014 with two one-way vehicle tunnels 40 feet beneath the surface and three passenger stations \u2014 is supposed to move convention attendees across a 200-acre campus for free.<\/p>\n<p>But people found it all underwhelming.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cElon Musk\u2019s \u2018Public Transit\u2019 in Las Vegas Still Just Humans Driving Cars Slowly in a Tunnel,\u201d wrote tech website <a class href=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/elon-musks-public-transit-in-las-vegas-still-just-human-1846648723?utm_source=digg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Gizmodo.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen Musk first announced the Loop, it genuinely looked like an exciting new transportation system. Musk promised that each vehicle could fit over a dozen people inside and everything was autonomous,\u201d the site wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut it doesn\u2019t look like much of anything is automatic anymore. You even have to tell your human driver where you want to go. It\u2019s just some Tesla Model 3s driving slowly in a tube, and if that gets you excited then I hope you enjoy the many orgasms you get while driving down a spiral ramp in a parking deck,\u201d the site wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs far as the Keno thing goes, growing up, my friend\u2019s dad used to tell us that \u2018a dead man could play Keno,\u2019 though I\u2019m not really sure what I was supposed to do with that information. Just know that Keno is lame, and so is Elon Musk\u2019s Las Vegas Convention Center Loop system.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The site noted that \u201cspeed for the cars is limited to 35 mph in the tunnel, which is about 10 mph less than the top speed of a 1908 Ford Model T. \u2026 [A]ll this really is are some Teslas driving in tunnels lined with LED lights.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">CNET\u2019s <a class href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/roadshow\/news\/elon-musk-boring-company-vegas-tunnel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noreferrer noopener\">Roadshow<\/a> declared the tunnel to be \u201clame.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\u2018It seems like this project is quickly turning into Tesla cars driving people underground, rather than some sort of futuristic transport system.
