Everyone knew that you did what was asked of you and opting out was never really an option,\u2019\u201d the report said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Fox reported that, \u201cIt\u2019s known that two of the governor\u2019s top advisers worked on the book, but along with Melissa DeRosa and Stephanie Benton, several junior staffers also reportedly helped the fast turnaround of the bestseller that Cuomo published in October, just months after starting it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cSome of the assignments at various stages in the writing process that were often doled out by supervisors reportedly included notetaking and typing from Cuomo\u2019s dictation, mailing out copies of the book after they were signed by the governor and on one occasion printing out an edited copy and taking it to the governor\u2019s mansion,\u201d Fox added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Detailing the accusations, Fox reported that \u201cOne person with direct knowledge of a junior staffer\u2019s involvement called it \u2018patently ridiculous\u2019 that the staffer had volunteered for the project,\u201d and that \u201cA second person with direct knowledge of a separate junior staffer\u2019s involvement with the book agreed the work was done alongside government work, the newspaper reported.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>According to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/03\/31\/cuomo-was-offered-4-million-for-pandemic-memoir-report\/\"><span>New York Post<\/span><\/a><span>, \u201cGovernment staffers were reportedly helping with the manuscript by late June and early July \u2014 a potential violation of state laws that prohibit the use of public resources for personal gain.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The New York Post added, \u201cA state ethics agency gave Cuomo permission last July to write it \u2014 but specifically told him not to to use state \u2018personnel\u2019 or property \u2018for activities associated with the book,\u2019 The Buffalo News reported.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Daily Wire\u2019s Ashe Schow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/andrew-cuomo-was-offered-more-than-4-million-for-pandemic-leadership-book-report-says\">reported<\/a> in early April that \u201c<\/span><span>Gov.
