DeSantis announced the lawsuit against the Biden administration, the Department of Health and Human Services and the CDC during a press conference Thursday.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This lawsuit is necessary to protect Floridians from the federal government\u2019s overreach and resulting economic harm to our state. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/I0uLeBzZqZ\">https:\/\/t.co\/I0uLeBzZqZ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ron DeSantis (@GovRonDeSantis) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GovRonDeSantis\/status\/1380235673018503169?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 8, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Cruise lines have been banned from operating since March of 2020, following COVID-19 outbreaks and deaths on several ships.
