The <\/span><span>Daily Wire<\/span><span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/caitlyn-jenner-rules-out-running-for-governor-amidst-california-recall-effort\">reported<\/a> at the time, \u201cReality TV star and long-time Republican Caitlyn Jenner doesn\u2019t plan to challenge California Governor Gavin Newsom in a potential recall election, Jenner\u2019s manager told Politico in a statement Thursday.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cCaitlyn is not running for governor, has never considered running for governor and is very happy doing the work that she is doing to promote LGBT rights and spending time with her 18 grandchildren and 10 children,\u201d Jenner\u2019s manager said in a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cAccording to Politico, Republicans in California and Washington have been speculating that Jenner would be a formidable opponent for Newsom if the recall election made it to the ballot. Jenner previously floated a run against California Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) for the 2018 midterm elections,\u201d The Daily Wire added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Despite these initial reports, according to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/04\/08\/caitlyn-jenner-california-governor-run-480232\"><span>Politico<\/span><\/a><span>, \u201cJenner has been taking more concrete steps to prepare for a potential campaign than have been previously reported.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cJenner has brought aboard a team of seasoned GOP strategists. The team includes Ryan Erwin, a former top official at the California Republican Party who had roles on Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush\u2019s presidential campaigns, who is serving as a general consultant. According to two people familiar with the hires, she has also tapped Harmeet Dhillon, a Republican national committeewoman and San Francisco-based attorney, to be general counsel,\u201d Politico reported.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cJenner has also been working with Caroline Wren, a longtime Republican fundraiser, and Brad Parscale, a former campaign manager to ex-President Donald Trump,\u201d Politico wrote, adding that \u201c[t]he four are expected to attend next week\u2019s meeting with Jenner and her manager, Sophia Hutchins. Jenner has also been conferring with other Republicans about the race, including Dave Rexrode, the executive director of the Republican Governors Association.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In addition, according to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/trumps-ex-campaign-manager-brad-parscale-helping-caitlyn-jenner-explore-run-for-california-governor\"><span>Fox News<\/span><\/a><span>, \u201c<\/span><span>Former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale is helping Caitlyn Jenner as she very seriously explores running for Governor in California.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe source told Fox News Parscale is helping to connect Jenner to \u2018the best talent in the country\u2019 as she considers mounting a gubernatorial campaign,\u201d Fox reported, adding that the source said that Jenner is \u201cvery, very, very serious\u201d about running.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, first announced that they were \u201ctransitioning\u201d to a women in April 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201c<\/span><span>Bruce Jenner, the Olympic gold medalist and member of the Kardashian family, ended months of speculation Friday night when he announced during an ABC television special that he identified as a woman and was making the transition from male to female,\u201d The&nbsp;<\/span><span>New York Times<\/span><span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/04\/25\/business\/media\/bruce-jenner-says-he-identifies-as-a-woman.html\">reported<\/a> in 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cFor all intents and purposes, I am a woman,\u201d Jenner said. \u201cPeople look at me differently. They see this macho male, but this female side is part of me, it\u2019s who I am.
