At the time, it was believed by some that former Obama staffers left the notes, but comedian Dave Chappelle claims the notes came from celebrities who were visiting the people\u2019s house during Obama\u2019s last days.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking with Naomi Campbell on the \u201cNo Filter\u201d YouTube series, Chappelle said he saw celebrities writing all sorts of \u201ccrazy s**t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRemember when the Trump administration moved in, they said the Obama staff left dirty notes for us in all the drawers and all the cabinets?\u201d Chappelle said. \u201cI saw this happening. I\u2019m not going to say who did it, but it was celebrities [was] writing all this crazy s**t and putting them all over there. I saw them doing it, so when I saw it on the news, I laughed real hard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/entertainment\/dave-chappelle-dirty-notes-donald-trump-staffers-celebs-obama-aides\">Fox News<\/a>, former White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham said every office was loaded with Obama books and notes about how badly they would fail.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe came into the White House. I\u2019ll tell you something, every office was filled with Obama books and we had notes left behind that said \u2018you will fail,\u2019 \u2018you aren\u2019t going to make it,\u2019\u201d Grisham said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the time, we saw it as kind of a prank and something that always happened. We were so busy trying to learn where the bathrooms were and how to turn on the lights, it wasn\u2019t that big of a deal,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Former Obama staffers, however, claimed they never resorted to such hijinx.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI actually left an iPhone charger if anybody\u2019s seen it, but no, nobody left unimaginative notes written at a sixth-grade level,\u201d tweeted former Obama speechwriter Cody Keenan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI mean, if they read the \u2018how to do your job\u2019 memos and briefing books we actually left, they\u2019d at least know how to write a coherent speech, vet their appointees, and maybe fewer of them would be indicted or heading to jail,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"8.8\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I actually left an iPhone charger if anybody\u2019s seen it, but no, nobody left unimaginative notes written at a sixth-grade level. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/DeaTk5W6wk\">https:\/\/t.co\/DeaTk5W6wk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Cody Keenan (@codykeenan) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/codykeenan\/status\/1196802946631163904?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 19, 2019<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Dave Chappelle did not specify whether or not he approved of such immature behavior, though it\u2019s unlikely, given that he has lent his comedic talents to more unifying messages that eschew political correctness and the cancel culture it has wrought.
