My bosses, my executives, are men,\u201d Baldwin told <a href=\"https:\/\/msmagazine.com\/podcast\/29-whos-telling-our-stories-cnns-brooke-baldwin-on-women-and-media%e2%80%a9\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ms. Magazine&nbsp;podcast<\/a>. \u201cThe person who oversees CNN Dayside is a man, and my executive producer for 10 years is a man. So I\u2019ve been surrounded by a lot of men.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was surrounded by a lot of dudes,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>The liberal news anchor said she continuously fought to tell \u201cwomen\u2019s stories\u201d on-air, despite being told \u201cno\u201d a lot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know I, personally, fight for women\u2019s stories,\u201d she recalled, adding,&nbsp;\u201cI got told no a lot and I still managed to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLittle by little,\u201d though, Baldwin said, CNN is starting to allocate more power positions to females.&nbsp;\u201cIt\u2019s getting better, but we still have a bit of a ways to go,\u201d she said. \u201cI want more women in the room.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/departing-cnn-baldwin-grievances-women-liberal-network\">According<\/a> to Fox News, \u201cCNN is the only major cable news network in America without a female primetime host and many of the network\u2019s high-powered executives are men.\u201d The report added:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"9.9230769230769\">\n<p><em>In 2018, Hollywood trade publication \u201cTheWrap\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewrap.com\/cnn-woman-problem-msnbc-fox-news-on-air-female-anchor-talent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">analyzed weekday programming<\/a> on various networks and found CNN didn\u2019t have as many female anchors as competitors.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cCNN has significantly fewer women serving in visible on-air roles than either Fox News or MSNBC,\u201d TheWrap reported.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Back in October, Baldwin seemed to suggest online that she was being pushed out at the network against her will.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs the election gears up, the political maestro @jaketapper will hold down my hour and his for the coming weeks. Wish I was with you, but I\u2019ll see&nbsp;ya&nbsp;on [TV] on the flip side of the election,\u201d she wrote on Instagram, according to Fox.<\/p>\n<p>Baldwin replied, \u201cNot my&nbsp;choice,\u201d when a fan asked, \u201cWhy are you taking so many weeks off at such an important time?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite Baldwin\u2019s pretense of objectivity, she\u2019s been relatively open about her adherence to left-wing identity politics.<\/p>\n<p>In May, for example,&nbsp;Baldwin <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/watch-cnn-anchor-cries-on-air-as-a-white-woman-aware-of-my-own-privilege\">broke down in tears<\/a> on-air over her \u201crage\u201d and acknowledgment of her own \u201cprivilege\u201d as a \u201cwhite woman\u201d in reaction to the death of George Floyd.<\/p>\n<p>Hosting Minneapolis City Council Vice President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/watch-mn-city-council-vp-anger-justified-but-you-have-no-right-to-violence-harm-on-very-communities-you-claim-to-stand-up-fo?%3Futm_source=twitter\">Andrea Jenkins<\/a> on \u201cCNN Newsroom,\u201d Baldwin said,&nbsp;\u201cAs I\u2019m sitting here listening to you, I\u2019m having my own \u2014 I\u2019m surprised at my own emotions on TV with you.
