Brian Kemp (R) signed into law&nbsp;\u201c\u2026 seeks to tighten up elections and reduce fraud by enforcing conformity across the state, amping up voter ID, restricting drop boxes, and expanding in-person voting, among additional election-related overhauls,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/gop-gov-kemp-signs-massive-election-integrity-bill-protesting-democrat-cuffed-outside-kemps-office\">The Daily Wire<\/a> previously reported.<\/p>\n<p>Although Georgia has received <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/5-woke-corporations-who-condemned-georgia-while-still-doing-business-with-china\">widespread criticism<\/a> from a number of corporations, Kemp said he was moving forward with his decision to sign the bill into law.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to be clear: I will not be backing down from this fight,\u201d Kemp said during a Saturday press conference after the MLB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/mlb-moves-all-star-game-to-colorado-which-has-voter-id-laws-significantly-less-diverse-than-georgia\">decided to move<\/a> the All-Star game from Georgia to Colorado. \u201cWe will not be intimidated, and we will also not be silenced.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the Atlanta mayor, the bill will hit minorities in Atlanta the hardest.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe voting restrictions of SB 202 will disproportionately impact Atlanta residents\u2014particularly in communities of color and other minority groups,\u201d Bottoms said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlantaga.gov\/Home\/Components\/News\/News\/13671\/672\">statement.<\/a> \u201cThis Administrative Order is designed to do what those in the majority of the state legislature did not\u2014expand access to our right to vote.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2026 I am hereby directing the Chief Equity Officer to consult with the Department of Law and develop a plan of action to mitigate the impact on City of Atlanta residents of the voting restrictions imposed by Senate Bill 202,\u201d the executive order states.<\/p>\n<p>Lance Bottom\u2019s executive order instructs the city\u2019s non-emergency services department \u2013 ATL311 \u2013 to work with the mayor\u2019s Office of Constituent Services to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Train staffers on voter registration related to early, absentee and in-person voting.<\/li>\n<li>Inform residents about how to obtain a valid form of identification for absentee voting.<\/li>\n<li>Place QR codes with links to voter registration and absentee voting information on official mailings, like water bills.<\/li>\n<li>Develop public service announcements that adequately articulate the new voting deadlines, timelines and requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Democrats have<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/the-new-jim-crow-leftists-compare-georgias-election-integrity-bill-to-racist-segregation-laws\"> repeatedly seized<\/a> on the Georgia election integrity law, saying cracking down on voter fraud is somehow comparable to the Jim Crow era.<\/p>\n<p><em>Beth Baumann is a Political Reporter at The Daily Wire.
