We will continue to closely monitor the situation,\u201d Nike said in a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/31198621\/another-lawsuit-filed-houston-texans-qb-deshaun-watson-bringing-total-22\"><span>ESPN<\/span><\/a><span>&nbsp;reported Monday that \u201canother lawsuit has been filed against Deshaun Watson, this one alleging the Houston Texans quarterback assaulted a licensed aesthetician \u2018by touching her with his penis and exposing himself.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe lawsuit, filed Friday night and made available on the Harris County District Clerk\u2019s website on Monday, said \u2018Watson\u2019s behavior is part of a disturbing and escalating pattern.\u2019 It was the 22nd lawsuit filed by Houston attorney Tony Buzbee since March 16,\u201d continued ESPN.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>According to ESPN, \u201cThe plaintiff alleges Watson \u2018grabbed\u2019 her buttocks during a massage while his \u2018penis was erect \u2026 and completely exposed.\u2019 The lawsuit alleges Watson told the massage therapist she had to sign a non-disclosure agreement before he would pay her for the massage.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The lawsuit states, \u201cbased on publicly available information, in a short time frame \u2026 Watson used more than fifty different women for massages\u201d and alleges that \u201cWatson selected all of these women via social media, mostly through Instagram and through SnapChat.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cHowever, some of the lawsuits filed by Buzbee reference Watson booking a massage through a spa or through another referral,\u201d ESPN added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The McNair family, who own the Houston Texans, addressed the allegations in a letter to season ticket holders earlier this week, saying, \u201cWe want to assure you that we take these allegations very seriously.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWhile we await the conclusion of these investigations, we express our strong stance against any form of sexual assault,\u201d the letter reads. \u201cOur family and the entire Houston Texans organization are deeply troubled by any form of abuse and we condemn this type of behavior,\u201d the letter continued.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>An additional element of this case involves 18 women who \u201c<\/span><span>released statements through Rusty Hardin, Watson\u2019s lawyer, saying they have worked with the Texans quarterback and that he \u2018never made them feel uncomfortable or demanded anything outside the scope of a professional massage.\u2019 Watson\u2019s attorney said the statements were voluntary and from women who have collectively \u2018worked with Deshaun more than 130 times over the past five years.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Houston Police Department also released a statement last week, saying that they were \u201cconducting an investigation\u201d after a report was filed, making no reference to the specific accusations being leveled against Watson.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"4.1632653061224\">\n<p lang=\"und\" dir=\"ltr\">HPD Statement <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/HouNews?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#HouNews<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/s9DfEDZYsy\">pic.twitter.com\/s9DfEDZYsy<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Houston Police (@houstonpolice) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/houstonpolice\/status\/1378104049950724100?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 2, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>\u201c<\/span><span>As with any allegation, the Houston Police Department is now conducting an investigation and will not comment further during the investigative process,\u201d the statement read.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201c<\/span><span>With Watson\u2019s off-the-field troubles, his other backers like Apple\u2019s Beats by Dre brand could soon need to respond,\u201d reported CNBC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe brands are in a difficult situation right now,\u201d said Scott Rosner, academic director of the sports management program at Columbia University. \u201cThere clearly will be public pressure as there typically is in these types of cases to disassociate themselves formally from the athlete. And some are likely to do that.
