A report from Tuesday revealed Biden\u2019s promise that the massive legislative package would generate 19 million new jobs was based on a flawed understanding of economic projections.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s claim was based on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.economy.com\/getlocal?q=C228A0FF-2701-47B2-ADE0-D158B5866251&amp;app=download\">Moody\u2019s report<\/a>, yet analysts pointed out that report estimated almost 17 million of those new jobs would have been created regardless. (Photo by MANDEL NGAN\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cI should be precise about this, so Moody\u2019s modeled a future, a scenario, where the American Jobs Plan is passed,\u201d Buttigieg explained. \u201cIn that scenario, they see the American economy creating 19 million jobs, and that\u2019s 2.7 more than if this bill doesn\u2019t pass. So the point is, this will contribute to a scenario where we create that many jobs.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">There would be bipartisan support for a serious, targeted infrastructure plan. Unfortunately, less than 6% of this massive White House proposal would go to roads and bridges.
