The firm also worked with nearly every prominent Democratic Party organization. Top clients <a href=\"https:\/\/www.opensecrets.org\/campaign-expenditures\/vendor?cycle=2020&amp;amp;vendor=NGP+VAN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">included<\/a> the Democratic National Committee, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and the presidential campaigns of Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and Kamala Harris.<\/p>\n<p>Documents obtained by the <em>Washington Free Beacon<\/em> reveal that the Lincoln Project&#8217;s ties to national Democratic groups date back to the super PAC&#8217;s founding. In addition to <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/politics\/the-lincoln-project-shares-personnel-address-with-liberal-election-groups\/\">sharing<\/a> personnel and a mailing address in Washington, D.C., with a number of liberal activist groups, the Lincoln Project relied on key Democratic Party infrastructure by employing Amalgamated Bank, known as &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/08\/30\/us\/politics\/owned-by-union-amalgamated-bank-gives-lift-to-the-left.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/08\/30\/us\/politics\/owned-by-union-amalgamated-bank-gives-lift-to-the-left.html&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1617720706488000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEZ_8SiGt-HcwzjKWhwpp9hJQTaKA\">the left&#8217;s private banker<\/a>.&#8221;&nbsp;The bank is <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/politics\/seiu-owned-bank-rakes-millions-dem-campaigns-liberal-orgs\/\">closely tied<\/a> to the Democracy Alliance, the George Soros-aligned secret network of wealthy left-wing donors.<\/p>\n<p>Amalgamated Bank, which is owned by the Service Employees International Union, was a critical early-stage client of the Lincoln Project. The super PAC was initially called Rough Riders For America in November 2019 and <a href=\"https:\/\/docquery.fec.gov\/cgi-bin\/forms\/C00725820\/1361705\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/docquery.fec.gov\/cgi-bin\/forms\/C00725820\/1361705\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1617720706488000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEda8mbNH7n9Ulw_RBtetXs_yLlmA\">listed<\/a> future Lincoln Project cofounder Reed Galen as its treasurer. Its filing lists Amalgamated Bank as its bank, a <a href=\"https:\/\/docquery.fec.gov\/cgi-bin\/forms\/C00725820\/1365574\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/docquery.fec.gov\/cgi-bin\/forms\/C00725820\/1365574\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1617720706488000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEFEtTRUiMfHLL3_SVYyNhhaolArQ\">designation<\/a> that carried over when it became the Lincoln Project the following month.<\/p>\n<p>Amalgamated Bank remains the Lincoln Project&#8217;s bank or depository, according to the super PAC&#8217;s most <a href=\"https:\/\/docquery.fec.gov\/cgi-bin\/forms\/C00725820\/1429178\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/docquery.fec.gov\/cgi-bin\/forms\/C00725820\/1429178\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1617720706488000&amp;usg=AFQjCNF5HbM_Q6j4-Gt56jQcPjjdAinONw\">recent<\/a> FEC statement of organization.&nbsp;The Lincoln Project&#8217;s decision to <a href=\"https:\/\/docquery.fec.gov\/cgi-bin\/forms\/C00725820\/1365574\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/docquery.fec.gov\/cgi-bin\/forms\/C00725820\/1365574\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1617720706488000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEFEtTRUiMfHLL3_SVYyNhhaolArQ\">use<\/a> Amalgamated Bank from its inception leaves little doubt that it was sanctioned by top Democratic brass. The bank&#8217;s other clients in 2020 included the&nbsp;Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/docquery.fec.gov\/cgi-bin\/forms\/C00703975\/1471660\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/docquery.fec.gov\/cgi-bin\/forms\/C00703975\/1471660\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1617720706488000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGEZDSQfIw03BcBF0Lrb3NPyr4t9Q\">campaign<\/a>&nbsp;and every major Democratic political organization.<\/p>\n<p>Amalgamated Bank&#8217;s services, according to the <em>New York Times<\/em>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/08\/30\/us\/politics\/owned-by-union-amalgamated-bank-gives-lift-to-the-left.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/08\/30\/us\/politics\/owned-by-union-amalgamated-bank-gives-lift-to-the-left.html&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1617720706488000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEZ_8SiGt-HcwzjKWhwpp9hJQTaKA\">include<\/a> &#8220;24-hour concierge service, staffed by veterans of President Obama&#8217;s campaigns, to handle last-minute media buys or reconcile election paperwork,&#8221; helping new organizations such as the Lincoln Project operate with maximum efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>Neither Amalgamated Bank nor NGP VAN responded to requests for comment about whether working for a company that allegedly covered up the sexual harassment of young Democratic activists constitutes a deal-breaker for their firms.<\/p>\n<p>The groups&#8217; relative obscurity might have enabled them to avoid public scrutiny in a way that other Democratic organizations could not. The Senate Majority PAC, the leading Democratic organization for funding Senate races, funneled almost $2 million to the Lincoln Project in 2020. After the allegations against Weaver surfaced in February, the Senate Majority PAC&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/02\/12\/lincoln-project-scandal-468984\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> it would no longer work with the Lincoln Project.<\/p>\n<p>Many have alleged that senior Lincoln Project members were aware of Weaver&#8217;s predatory behavior yet refused to take action until his victims were interviewed by the <em>Times. <\/em>And that is hardly the only scandal plaguing the organization.<\/p>\n<p>Critics on both sides of the political spectrum have accused the group&#8217;s founders of engaging in shady financial practices to enrich themselves. Prominent liberals, including Rep.
