During day six of Chauvin\u2019s murder trial Monday, the chief claimed the former officer did not follow proper de-escalation and use of force codes.<\/p>\n<p>Arradondo added, Chauvin\u2019s actions to try to get George Floyd under control were reasonable at the beginning of the altercation. He said once Floyd stopped resisting, however, Chauvin should have backed off.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo continue to apply that level of force to a person proned out, handcuffed behind their back, that in no way, shape or form is anything that is by policy,\u201d stated the police chief. \u201cIs not part of our training and it is certainly not part of our ethics or our values.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">MN V.
