Victor Anderson, Clint Crowe, Matt Barton, Jason Ridley, Lauren McDonald III, Stan Gunter, Dewayne Hill, and Marcus Wiedower signed a Saturday letter denouncing the company for contributing to an \u201cout of control cancel culture.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUpon the passage of the \u2018Election Integrity Act of 2021,\u2019 your company has made the conscious decision to perpetuate a national dialogue which seeks to intentionally mislead the citizens of Georgia and deepen a divide in our great State,\u201d the lawmakers wrote. \u201cWe have the responsibility to all of Georgia to not engage in those misguided intentions nor continue to support corporations who choose to. SB 202 expands early voting opportunities, provides a pathway to ensure shorter voting lines, secures the use of drop boxes which otherwise would be illegal, as well as several other provisions allowing all Georgians greater access to fast, secure, and transparent elections.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGiven Coke\u2019s decision to cave to pressure from an out of control cancel culture, we respectfully request all Coca-Cola Company products be removed from our office suite immediately,\u201d they demanded. \u201cShould Coke choose to read the bill, share its true intentions and accept their role in the dissemination of mistruths, we would welcome a conversation to rebuild a working relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"7.8823529411765\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Some Georgia Republican state legislators are removing <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CocaCola?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@CocaCola<\/a> products from their statehouse offices after the Atlanta-based beverage giant criticized the new elections law. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/gapol?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#gapol<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/leojXBGQAM\">pic.twitter.com\/leojXBGQAM<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Greg Bluestein (@bluestein) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/bluestein\/status\/1378491232155021316?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 3, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A number of corporations that were silent on the voting reform bill as it worked its way through Congress have blasted the legislation since it was signed into law last month. Coca-Cola Company chairman and CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coca-colacompany.com\/media-center\/georgia-voting-legislation\">James Quincey<\/a> released a statement on Thursday bashing the reforms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to be crystal clear and state unambiguously that we are disappointed in the outcome of the Georgia voting legislation. Throughout Georgia\u2019s legislative session we provided feedback to members of both legislative chambers and political parties, opposing measures in the bills that would diminish or deter access to voting,\u201d Quincey said.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Republicans in the Georgia House voted to strip <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/georgia-house-votes-to-strip-delta-of-35-million-tax-credit-for-flipping-on-election-law-support\">Delta Air Lines<\/a> of a tax credit worth $35 million after the airline flipped on its support for the bill, condemning it after releasing an initial statement praising its passage. The measure never came up for a vote in the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey like our public policy when we\u2019re doing things that benefit them,\u201d House Speaker David Ralston said. \u201cYou don\u2019t feed a dog that bites your hand.
