When the Presbyterian Church tried to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldcat.org\/title\/seeking-a-better-country-300-years-of-american-presbyterianism\/oclc\/122974080\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">oust one of its professors<\/a> for claiming the Bible is not the Word of God, the school cut its ties.<\/p>\n<p>As The Washington Examiner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/absolute-theological-bankruptcy-union-theological-seminary-students-pray-to-plants\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"19.89235737352\">\n<p><em>German pastor and anti-Nazi dissident Dietrich Bonhoeffer was among the school\u2019s more famous alumni, who left after escaping the Third Reich to teach there briefly in 1939. Appalled by the liberalism of its students, Bonhoeffer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faith-theology.com\/2009\/10\/dietrich-bonhoeffer-in-new-york.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wrote<\/a> they \u201care completely clueless with respect to what dogmatics is really about. They are not familiar with even the most basic questions.
