Biden said he could not give any more specifics on what the federal investigation into his tax affairs is about, but claimed to be cooperating with investigators \u201ccompletely.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can say this. I am cooperating completely, and I am absolutely certain, 100% certain, that at the end of the investigation, that I will be cleared of any wrongdoing,\u201d Biden said. \u201cI am 100% certain of it and all I can do is cooperate and trust in the process.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"7.0169491525424\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Hunter Biden says he is &#8220;cooperating completely&#8221; with a federal investigation into his tax affairs. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/kreBaIaeqt\">pic.twitter.com\/kreBaIaeqt<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Washington Examiner (@dcexaminer) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dcexaminer\/status\/1378715511677198342?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 4, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Biden revealed in December that the DOJ was investigating his \u201ctax affairs\u201d after months of questions around his overseas business dealings in countries such as Ukraine and China in the run-up to and after the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/hunter-biden-says-tax-affairs-under-federal-investigation\">Biden<\/a> said in a statement. \u201cI take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The President-Elect Joe Biden responded to the revelation that his son was under federal investigation in a statement put out by his team: \u201cPresident-elect Biden is deeply proud of his son, who has fought through difficult challenges, including the vicious personal attacks of recent months, only to emerge stronger.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hunter Biden\u2019s business deals became a central issue hounding his father\u2019s presidential campaign in the final weeks <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/major-networks-follow-facebook-twitter-lead-ignoring-hunter-biden-scandal\">despite<\/a> tech companies Twitter and Facebook and network media corporations downplaying or outright dismissing allegations of corruption in the Biden family.<\/p>\n<p>One of Biden\u2019s former business associates, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/hunter-biden-business-partner-a-pro-democrat-navy-veteran-hunter-asked-dad-to-sign-off-on-deals\">Tony Bobulinski<\/a>, implicated the president in one of his son\u2019s deals. In October, Bobulinski claimed that President Biden was supposed to be a benefactor in a business deal involving his son&nbsp;and Ye Jianming, the former chairman of the now-bankrupt CEFC China Energy. Bobulinkski did not produce physical evidence of his claims.<\/p>\n<p>Bobulinski said in part:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"29\">\n<p><em>What I am outlining is fact. I know it is fact because I lived it. I am the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings which was a partnership between the Chinese operating through CEFC\/Chairman Ye and the Biden family. I was brought into the company to be the CEO by James Gilliar and Hunter Biden. The reference to \u201cthe Big Guy\u201d in the much publicized May 13, 2017 email is in fact a reference to Joe Biden. The other \u201cJB\u201d referenced in that email is Jim Biden, Joe\u2019s brother.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Hunter Biden called his dad \u2018the Big Guy\u2019 or \u2018my Chairman,\u2019 and frequently referenced asking him for his sign-off or advice on various potential deals that we were discussing. I\u2019ve seen Vice President Biden saying he never talked to Hunter about his business. I\u2019ve seen firsthand that that\u2019s not true, because it wasn\u2019t just Hunter\u2019s business, they said they were putting the Biden family name and its legacy on the line.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I realized the Chinese were not really focused on a healthy financial ROI. They were looking at this as a political or influence investment.
