The CBS tweet said the article contained \u201c3 ways companies can help fight Georgia\u2019s restrictive new voting law,\u201d but the article claims those three points are simply what activists are \u201casking for.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CBS falsely presents Georgia\u2019s new voting reform, claiming the bill contains \u201ca measure that requires voters to present a photo ID when voting by mail.\u201d This is untrue. The bill requires people to list their driver\u2019s license or state voting card number on their absentee ballot. Such numbers are required for numerous official government forms.<\/p>\n<p>The CBS article also accepts activist alarmism that limiting the time people have to request an absentee ballot and where ballot drop boxes can be placed amounts to racist voter suppression, even though a Washington Post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2021\/03\/30\/biden-falsely-claims-new-georgia-law-ends-voting-hours-early\/\">fact check<\/a> found that experts the newspaper spoke to said \u201cthe net effect [of the law] was to expand the opportunities to vote for most Georgians, not limit them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Post also found that claims from President Joe Biden and others about the Georgia law allegedly restricting the times that people could vote were false. The Daily Wire previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/stacey-abrams-pushed-misinformation-about-georgia-voting-bill-now-shes-upset-by-the-consequences\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, the Post found that while Biden and others claimed the new law \u201cends voting hours early so working people can\u2019t cast their vote after their shift is over.\u201d As the Post noted, the new law does no such thing.<\/p>\n<p>Critics of the bill also falsely claimed the new Georgia bill would prohibit food or drink from being passed out to people waiting in line to vote. As The Daily Wire previously&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/joe-biden-media-claim-georgia-law-prevents-giving-water-to-voters-in-line-thats-not-true\">reported<\/a>, the bill does not prevent people waiting in line to vote from receiving food or water, but politicians and their staff cannot provide it in an effort to secure votes. Poll workers can pass out water or food as they see fit.<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Wire\u2019s Amanda Prestigiacomo also&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/watch-black-americans-debunk-liberal-talking-point-that-voter-id-is-racist-theyre-ignorant\">reminded<\/a>&nbsp;critics of the Georgia law, who claim requiring voters to present ID in order to vote is racist, that African-Americans don\u2019t see it that way.<\/p>\n<p>Biden and other prominent Democrats, like failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, have pushed these numerous falsehoods about the bill, while the media dutifully published them without noting the factual inaccuracies.<\/p>\n<p>While the CBS article purports to be straight news, it completely relies on activist misinformation while pushing boycotts of certain politicians and urging passage of a federal law supported by Democrats that would eradicate states\u2019 rights to set their own election laws. This misinformation from politicians and the media has already led to the MLB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-mlb-moving-all-star-game-out-of-georgia-after-pressure-from-white-house\">moving<\/a> its all-star game and draft out of Atlanta, with economic consequences.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
