(Photo by Scott Olson\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 8:35 AM PT \u2013 Saturday, April 3, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/current_events\/disease\/44_of_voters_approve_vaccine_passport\">new poll<\/a> indicated a majority of Americans do not believe vaccine passports are a good idea.<\/p>\n<p>The survey released on Thursday from Rasmussen asked if requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination to return to pre-pandemic activities was a good or bad idea. A mere 44 percent of likely voters said it was a good idea, with 57 percent of Democrats supporting vaccine passports and 33 percent of Republicans.<\/p>\n<p>New York has already rolled out their version of the passports called the Excelsior Pass, and the White House has been promoting the practice.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Today we launched Excelsior Pass, a free platform for businesses &amp; individuals that can be used to easily access secure proof of a recent negative COVID test or vaccination. <\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a first of its kind tool to help NY fight COVID while reopening our economy safely.<\/p>\n<p>Learn More:<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Andrew Cuomo (@NYGovCuomo) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NYGovCuomo\/status\/1375525102419337221?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 26, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe expect, as Andy Slavitt I think alluded to, that a determination or development of a vaccine passport, or whatever you want to call it, will be driven by the private sector,\u201d White House press secretary Jen Psaki stated. \u201cOurs will more be focused on guidelines that can be used as a basis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Conservatives across the country are standing up against the passports, saying they limit the freedoms of Americans.<\/p>\n<p>Florida Gov.
