On Thursday, the Wyoming Legislature approved <a href=\"https:\/\/openstates.org\/wy\/bills\/2021\/HB75\/\">House Bill 75<\/a> in a 28-to-2 vote.<\/p>\n<p>The bill\u2019s main sponsor, Rep. Chuck Gray (R-Wyo.), repeatedly stated the proposal will help to restore Wyoming voters\u2019 trust in the election system.<\/p>\n<p>He told the Senate Corporations, Elections and Political Subdivisions Committee that voter ID is a step in \u201ckeeping our election statutes tight and ensuring there\u2019s an environment where it is difficult to commit fraud.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wyomingnews.com\/laramieboomerang\/news\/voter-id-bill-gains-final-approval-from-the-wyoming-legislature\/article_e851d584-5654-570a-9877-e045ea6fe6f8.html\">reports<\/a>, the bill is headed to Governor Mark Gordon\u2019s (R-Wyo.) desk for consideration.
