Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) thinks about anything and worried what it means that she has such a prominent voice on the national stage.<\/p>\n<p>Appearing on \u201cOutnumbered,\u201d Carlson responded to Ocasio-Cortez\u2019s recent call that migrants separated under former President Donald Trump should receive reparations. \u201cIt\u2019s just interesting to come to a place where a low-IQ race-baiter like that has an important voice in national policy,\u201d he said. \u201cLike, who cares what she thinks?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Further describing the New York congresswoman as \u201ctotally reckless\u201d and an open \u201cracist,\u201d Carlson advised that the key to thinking clearly about the worsening immigration crisis is to discern \u201cwhat\u2019s best for the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviously the border policy now is a disaster,\u201d he said. \u201cTo be fair, it\u2019s been a disaster for a long time. It doesn\u2019t serve the interest of most Americans. And it won\u2019t because people that use the magic word, which is \u2018racism,\u2019 to cow the rest of the country into submission. She wants to change the population, she wants her party to be more powerful, I get it. But we\u2019re allowing her and people like her to do that because we\u2019re afraid of being called names.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUntil decent people shed their fear of being smeared by someone whose opinion you really shouldn\u2019t care about, we\u2019re never going to have a rational immigration policy that helps everybody,\u201d said the host.<\/p>\n<p>Carlson also noted that the migrant crisis doesn\u2019t help the countries from which they are fleeing, either. \u201cHow does it help Ecuador or El Salvador or Guatemala, or any of the countries from which these people are coming, to have your most ambitious people leave? It\u2019s a disaster for them, too, and for us. As The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/aoc-referring-to-surge-of-illegal-immigration-is-militaristic-a-white-supremacist-idea\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"22\">\n<p><em>Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) asserted that referring to the immigration crisis as a \u201csurge\u201d is rooted in white supremacist philosophy.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Ocasio-Cortez commented on the ongoing crisis at the border Tuesday on Instagram. Ocasio-Cortez came under public pressure in recent days to sound off on the issue under the Biden administration after being an outspoken critic of former President Donald Trump\u2019s immigration policies.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The New York Democrat avoided explicitly blaming the Biden administration for the crisis, instead asserting that climate change, imperialism, and trade created it.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cPeople don\u2019t want to have that conversation,\u201d she said, referring to the issues she raised.
